@@personalcheeses8073 Funny... I remember bringing the album home on the day it was released. Three songs in, sleeve in hand, I caught up on the joke: very disco. As many artists back then, Jeff Lynne was trying to ride the disco train. But he came a bit late to the party. At the time this album was slashed in the music media and I must confess that I wasn't impressed that much either. After albums like Eldorado, Face The Music, A New World Record and Out Of The Blue it just didn't live up to the standards Jeff Lynne set. It took me quite a few years to really appreciate this album.

Hi Jamel, the break in the middle at 4:50 is Richard Tandy on Synthesizer. On a side note: this song was especially big in Middle and South America back in '79. That's what I was trying to think of...."Boogie Nights"! Recognized the bass line and groove! Thanks, Ken! I, too, had never heard this song, and was just transitioning from radio to the record biz in '79/'80 when this came out. But, it peaked at only #39 in early '80 here in the states, so it may not have been a hit in many cities/regions. I guess everyone had to put out at least one pandering disco nod!!! ;- )

This is my favorite ELO track, the disco beat is great, but it is the strings, together with the heartwarming lyrics ("But I really want to make this last forever, I really want to be with you") that gets to me most. Dave Owens : this is absolute disco. Such a shame that people have learnt to despise this word. As other said, there is evidently good and bad disco, as in everything else. This is a masterpiece.

Prologue/Twilight from their Time album is a highly underrated song and album that I would very much appreciate you for checking out and Hold On Tight is another great song from the album as well, but most of all thanks for checking out all these other great ELO songs my man
