Excellent review. I have been following the ELO Vagabond closely. Your point about the placement of the D-Pad (and by extension the ABXY buttons and the right stick) is key and one of the primary reasons all of the other telescopic controllers are inferior.

This looks awesome! Mine arrived last week. You can also use Mantis Pro to play any games with it, while the Touch Mapper is still under development. Also I've been using it to play Elden Ring on my PC and it works perfectly fine. For the price, yeah it's expensive but right now, they also have a "mystery offer" that gives you USD $35 off. I wish I've seen this video before so I can get 25% off which is about USD $37

I'd happily buy this, but i think the software remapping needs more work. Specifically i'd like the ability to custom map keyboard inputs onto the back buttons, or face buttons for nichie situations- as this is a pretty expensive controller.

Are regular controllers a market ELO is looking to get into? I would be interested in a controller like the vagabond but not telescopic and with built in gyro. A couple more extra buttons wouldn't hurt either.

Hey, I noticed this with the controller. when you hit the purple ELO logo button on the controller, why does it bring you back to the App instead of the Xbox Home Screen? I use my controller for Xbox remote play and cloud gaming but whenever I hit the purple ELO button, it brings me to the App instead of the home xbox page…like when I had the GameSir G8+ controller, whenever I would hit the GameSir logo button on the controller, it would bring up the Xbox window on the left side of the screen to quick select the Xbox’s main screen when you load it up. I thought that this controller would have the same feature for it and I’m not sure why it goes to the app when you hit the purple ELO button. Even when I remove the ELO app from my phone, hitting that button does nothing…..have you encountered this or anyone else? if so, is there a way to go back to the Home Screen by hitting the controller and not manually clicking on your phone screen all the time to do this feature. Like essentially I would like if the purple ELO button works the exact same way as the Xbox logo button on a Xbox controller and it it weird because when I hold down the purple ELO button for like 2-3 seconds, the screen (turn off console, controller, stop remote session) comes up the exact same way as if you were to hold down the Xbox button on a controller to power off the console, controller or restart your console. I know this is a lot but was curious if you have encountered the same thing? As I stated before, I was able to let ELO Support know about this so hopefully they will be able to fix this if it is a controller or app glitch

yeah the ELO button works as a shortcut to the elo app and not the Xbox Home button, I'll talk to the team and think about a solution for this

I have discovered a gem of a controller browsing Aliexpress, it is a controller called Aobian Max, which has the same characteristics as the Galileo G8 and I think it is Bluetooth apart, but I am not sure and with a fan, I have seen it for 30 €, I found on KZbin only one video with 1k views of him in Indian xd

being all mechanical and using hall effect sticks makes this controller much more durable than the others, if any of the mechanical switches fail you can find replacements online and replace them yourself or get someone to replace them for you

@@VKsChannel I've been reading reviews because i wanted to decide on a controller (and not to buy a dozen like i did with retro handhelds)... two parts of controller seem to fail the easiest: The telescopic part (which lead to buttons failing because cables are involved) and the usb-c part... I hope those are relatively durable if the user is gentle.
