Actually considering watching Season 2 of Bridgerton sorely for Eloise and her delightful personality ❤😂

Season 2 is way better than season 1. I watched the series two weeks ago, for the first time and season 1 basically a "classic" porn, with r*pe. Whereas season 2 is just delightful from start to finish. So I do recommend watching season 2.

Truly an amazing video , I loved the show and the second season. I can’t wait for Eloise’s seasons with Theo. Still can’t decide who I prefer more Benedict or Eloise.I love her bluntness and complete honesty to each situation. She represents our thoughts watching the show, I would love to have a day in their gowns and wonder around, if only. Also I loved in the new season the different side of Portia, many believed to only be cruel and bitter, but she express that she loved her girls and would never abandon them although she is not the nicest woman deep down she does care.

I think the thing with Eloise is she’s immature and very sheltered and it sours a lot of her character bc she had the potential to be one of the most likable and strong characters on this show but the fact she’s so sheltered and immature leads her to be very irritating and self centered at times Edit: Since a lot of people are taking personal offense to this. I understand that’s the point of character development and that it sets her up to mature and grow in later seasons. I understand it also has a lot to do with the age of her character. I’m just explaining my point of view of Eloise where she is as of end of season 2.

May I remind you she's likely 15 or 16 in season 1. Who wasn't immature at that age. Throughout the series, she did learn how ignorant and immature she was. And SHE DID SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I can't wait to see how much more she'll grow up in the next season's.

That makes her a good character.

She is such AN icon. Only problem is that Now that I ve seen the first 2 seasons and made an idea of her I can t evene immagine her as she is described in the book so I am afraid I ll never read it...and I m not talking about the relationshups but about her character as it is. They are completerly different
@dianelysblancogonzalez67712 жыл бұрын
Totally different, so I think that on the show they should changes her endgame, because if they do what the books says, it would be a complete wrong idea, because it won't be accepted by the show's fadom just because it would be like the character on the show that we knew about what are her thoughts and goals. So we will see #Theloiseendgame

Eloise remains a controversial character for me but she sure has potential to become something more. In the books, she was much more likeable and even funny with her feminism, I even wholeheartedly shipped her with Sir Philip and was genuinely happy for her happily every after. But the Eloise of series, I think, represented the younger version of myself because of her stubbornness, womanly rights obsession and obliviousness to the plight of others. Not to mention her constant force in mostly one sided conversation with her friend Penelope. It's a age where we think we're always right and everything family says or proposes just feels like another attempt to trap us into a meaningless boring life like others who've existed before us. We're a rebellion of our own dreams back then. But when I'm grown up enough to look back into my younger self, I do nothing but cringe and maybe feel embarssment for my childish ways of getting others do what I want. Forcing my opinions on them. Bothering my mom with my unique woman rights thoughts to the point of irritation. Thinking back to all this now makes me feel pity and sadness for my parents whom I've inevitably let down because of my rebellious desires, trying to boast of my dreams when particularly I've done almost nothing except more boasting to make them true. I see people liking Eloise a lot but to me she seems immature, sheltered, puberty hitting her with rebellion and some stuff about womanly rights she read in a book and made up in her head for which she should absolutely do something, but most of the times, she's busy doing nothing significant and tbh, she gives more of a spoiled teenager vibes to me who once made aware of her shortcomings can only sulk and cut relations in return. But I'm at age where I find her rebellious nature a pity for Violet and I can only assume all the hell mothers had to endure at those times to prepare for their daughters to get married. Add on to the one daughter who wants to break society rules, and even that's forgettable but she's busy roaming around uninvited dark hells of London, caring nothing about her family's reputation cause she believes everything she does is right. I'm sure she'll be given a character development in the succeding seasons as I expect with Penelope as well. I loved their friendship a lot and people may come and bite my head off for saying this, but their last fight had both of them at faults equally. And if we remove that last fight from their history, Pen seems more wiser and experienced of worldly matters than Eloise, though I totally don't support the way she goes to help her friend. But I feel that Pen had undergone so many criticism, hardship, judgments and snarky comments from society that she's become a bit more mature than Eloise for all that is worth.
@hopeslies33642 жыл бұрын
God, Eloise is just a teenager. Not everyone manages to do something "significant" by the age of eighteen. The fact that Penelope did it makes her an "exception", not the rule. And teenagers are supposed to be rebellious anyway, it's normal. Plus, since being vocal about women's rights was extremely important in those days, i don't think there could ever be "too much" of it. As far as her "doing something significant" is concerned, she has plenty of time still. And more importantly, you don't have to do something big or phenomenal like Pen to be deemed "worth it". Little acts like defending other women (during that dance with that misogynistic guy) are just as important. And we're talking about the 1800s. EVERY little act of solidarity was important. I think we just need to give Eloise a break. She may be a spoilt brat but she has a heart of gold. And all the Bridgerton kids are spoilt in their own ways anyway.
@candelat96942 жыл бұрын
Many languages and you decide to talk with the truth 🙌🙌🙌 I'm feminist but Eloise in the serie is the kind of woman who think "feminist is about judge to other, and being irritating until the other change of mind". I don't like her feminist in the serie, I don't like HER, I don't like how she judges to Daphne, Francesca, and Pen. In the book, Eloise was a good sister and good friend, she said what she thinks about the society and the world but she wasn't mean or capricious. She was happy about Pen/Lady Whistledown. In the serie, Pen told her the truth. Eloise just judges to everyone, she doesn't like anything but she doesn't do anything to change something.
@kayliep4732 жыл бұрын
I disagree that Penelope was wiser or more experienced of worldly matters than Eloise tho. In fact, I don’t think what Penelope did was even something great. Writing scandal sheets about other people without caring about the consequences of their lives are immature and selfish. She did it because she had fun doing it. She is just like this age’s tabloid basically. Except that you can’t sue anyone for defamation in regency era, right? So in that age, what Pen did was exactly what Eloise said “Make money at a cost of everyone else”. Besides, Penelope disregard the whole rights-of-women idea by Eloise when she talked about it during Anthony’s wedding or something. And for that period of time, rights of women are the real problems. In Bridgerton, marriage was viewed as a beautiful thing because apparently its a romantic TV show, but imagine being one of them, women had no other values than being likable and alluring to attract suitors. And you think she was annoying for saying that repeatedly? I don’t think so. Eloise read Wollstonecraft, she attended the political gathering, met people from lower class. She sure sees the world in a much broader sense than Penelope whose struggles were just Colin, family reputation and yellow dress. But I agree that Eloise’ actions were not that mature because her judgmental expression was not likable and instead of convincing more people to acknowledge the idea, she distancing herself from them, making people view her more as a ‘radical’ despite the fact that she actually has good intention and good understanding of the world.

Thank you for telling exactly how I feel about Eloise. Her book was my favourite of the lot. And in the series she just seems a little extra to me and I have no idea how she is most popular one.

@@hopeslies3364 100% agree. I adore Eloise, and for one shallow thing. I absolutely love her voice, it's the most beautiful voice I have ever heard and I can't get enough of it. She's quite a prick to Pen, but then again Pen is also not really pushing for more equal footing and is choosing to not be real. Eloise is real with her, annoyingly so, might I add. Love her.
