Accordion, you need to play the left hand bass. You’re not an accordion. Player. Good luck Paul.😂😂❤

Hi, Paul! I appreciate your concern for the integrity of accordion playing as an art form, and I do know that, as a serious player, seeing the accordion played without left hand can cause your hackles to rise. However, if you watch a little farther into the video, you'll notice that I bring my left hand in at about 1 minute into a video. This delay in bringing the left hand in was a purposeful aesthetic decision, as I wanted to build the texture to match the energy of the set. It's similar to the tool many composers use in orchestral music when not all instruments enter at the beginning of the piece. When I'm playing in a duo with fiddle or clarinet or an instrument of that nature, I play my left hand most of the time. However, when I'm playing with a piano, guitar, or bass, I feel that sometimes the most musically effective choice for the ensemble is to have the left hand wait out for a bit so that the texture isn't too cluttered. Then when the left hand enters, there's a lift in energy. Sometimes the piano drops out too. Sometimes the fiddle drops out. It's all part of the fun and variety of ensemble playing.
