How long would you realistically watch?
@panpiper
@panpiper 6 жыл бұрын
Well, I'm a total Elon Musk fanboy. I would take a bullet for the man and die happy. "I" would watch a two hour biography of Elon Musk, and watch it with the same verve as I would a Marvel Blockbuster. I would 'pay' for it! But I am a sample of one and probably not indicative of the general populace.

@@panpiper Indicative of me as well. I would also like to be about thirty years younger, too.
@panpiper
@panpiper 5 жыл бұрын
@@beachcomber2008 Stick around another thirty years and you just might be... younger. Some 'very' interesting things will be happening in the next thirty years, like singularity and mature molecular manufacturing. To get there, look into keto diet (or at least low carb), fasting for autophagy, get in shape, quit bad habits, look both ways before you cross the street, don't let your ego start a fight, etc.. There is no reason you can't make it into your nineties. And if you are still here in thirty years, there is every possibility of achieving biological immortality. Beyond that, who knows... A nanotech substrate to your neuronal brain structure to give you the mental acuity of a super computer might prove to be such an improvement over your chemical systems that your consciousness, memory and the personality the two engender, might shift to preferentially using the nanotech substrate as opposed to your 'much' slower chemical systems. Having done so, your consciousness could literally become distributed and/or even backed up, so even accidents or murder couldn't actually kill you. The future will be 'interesting' and there is no reason you couldn't see it.

If alive today, Nikola Tesla would try to feed the entire internet to a neural network trying brut force instead of applying the multiple steps of data processing as seen in carbon based brain systems. Nicola would also invest all his money in nuclear fusion, which is a slow and low yield power source. It is a good news for us and all other form a life which depend on a similar star to provide energy to their planet, that the sun will barely consume 20% of itself in the next 5 billions years. It is said that the sun as a metabolism lower than a cold blooded lizard. If you scale the total mass of the sun vs the energy it produce to a rattle snake, the serpent would win in term of total amount of energy produced. Of course, the snake get its source from the rodents it eat while the sun don't get new supply of hydrogen. The dream of transmitting electricity thru the air was a money drain.

Elon's is on the top list of people I admire. A lot of good would be done if more millionaires and billionaires emulate his endeavours and strategies. I really hope I can do as much, if not more, to help for civilization as much as Elon has. His projects and causes will affect this world and this galaxy many years and centuries into the future.

I don't know that Tony Stark is based on Elon Musk, because I think IronMan appeared in comic form, with that story line, at least a decade before Elon was born. Having said that, he is about as close to Tony Stark as anybody in the real world can get. I am an old bloke now, but I find it hard to think of any other person in whole world, I envy or admire more. If I could 'be' somebody else, I'd love to be Elon Musk. Going back to that idea, if Howard Hughes, the Aviator, had a son very late in life, and that son grew into Elon Musk... You'd pretty much have IronMan. He'd inherit Hughes helicopters and aircraft, a defence conglomerate, and be a manufacturer of advanced weapon systems for the us gov & mil. He'd simply be stepping into the family business. It's IronMan, letter perfect!

I know I’m late but if you read this then it wasn’t the character that was based on Elon, When Robert Downey Jr was casted as Iron man he based how he acted on how Elon acted.

How many of you will have jobs by 2030? how long do we have to implement this false idea that technology is good for everyone? it's not we Don't need the poor around the world to be left to their own devices course we instead of people rely on robots and self driving cars that only the elite can buy! We need more humanity and not technology We have gone to far there are billions of people on this planet and only a % is going to benefit from it. Elon musk is but a part of our dystopian future. you Americans are so far away from Reality, half your population is working minimum wage jobs course none can afford college and those who can are in debt for years to come! - WE need more humanity not Machines and men who tell us that it's going to improve your life! Can any of you explain by removing millions of jobs so that a machine can do it for you? what about the people who just makes end by? do we simply keep going and ignore it on our feed on websites? Don't we wanna adress it? why are All jobs being swifted to Asia course it's cheaper? do any of you have any idea of how bad this is? the Wealhty will stay wealhty will be poor left alone.

Three years ago Elon Musk donated a complete solar farm in the outback of South Australia to help manage rolling blackouts in the summer. Electricity consumers in that state haven’t experienced a blackout since the installation. The state government bought the batteries to store power and release during a shortage.

Its not practical to have to maintain a vacuum in long tubes, its makes the tubes and maintenance were expensiv, he pretty much dropped the idea it seems, it was a fun and futuristic idea, but at this point in time not a practical one.

Thanks for the video and for responding. Since he considers AI an existential threat rivaling that of any other and his latest two ventures have been in response to that concern, seems like it would have made the short list of things to cover. But yes, everyones a critic and I am too.
