I think the reason Elon is so popular, is mainly due to the way he answers questions and his personality. He answers these questions very slowly and thoughtfully. Yet not to specific..

40:11 I appreciate Elon's response to my question on innovations in education. "The why of things are extremely important" "Tying (learning) to solving a problem I think is very powerful for establishing relevance and getting kids excited about what they are working on and having the knowledge stick" On CubeSats: "...what is a solar panel; how do orbital dynamics work; how do we power this thing; how do batteries work; electronics; control systems...we want to make our satellite work that's why we need to understand all of these disciplines."

What they should teach in school first is repetition. It's key to remembering what is being taught In class counts as 1 and at home you repeat it 3-4+ more times. They apparently didnt stress that enough.

what are you even on about. He wasn't sure of the Falcon Heavy as it was more than just attaching extra boosters, per his own words, but he's confident it'll be flying by the end of this year. He isn't looking to ditch it. He wants to focus on the BFR as it's the biggest milestone for him and SpaceX as it would officially begin the path to colonizing Mars. There's hype surrounding Musk and SpaceX but it's better than indifference. it inspires people for space exploration, which was the whole point behind SpaceX to begin with, lmao.

I have to pause this video before Elon gets to the stage at 8.46 somewhere between listening to the speaker and listening to the clapping of the audience... While also noticing the reverb'ERrration throughout the spaceous room. Now I may not be the best writer in my world so as much as I love to hear my own voice in my head as I write down this thought for others to chance upon... I had to pause And appreciate the microphone and how similar its function is to a human's ear- allowing the amplification of all the sounds around it in a way that EVEN I can hear what is (or was) going on in that room at the moment I decided to pause this visual and audio recording of an interview with someone I admire more than just listening to my own inner voice as I write it for you to read in yours... Because I noticed all of that in the first 9 mins of this video before Elon even got to the stage. Have a beautiful day.

@1:19:30 It would be absolutely amazing if a Neuralink type of interface can one day assist us with memory recollection to help augment brain damage caused by the aging process. (my first conscious thought while still in a bassinet actually) I got told to leave and not return both junior and senior high classes (still gave me a B+ mind you) just because I 'insisted' in asking WHY? We are not robots - the education system needs to stop treating those that want to learn the why's of things as such. The thought process is circular not only just linear.

Did anyone else catch the 3 months to Mars comment ? 1:08:00 - 1:10:10
@ZINGERS-gt6pc7 жыл бұрын
I think he means that there is a strong desire to be able to hit that 3 month window, because if we can, we could maximize the closest distance to Mars from Earth. That's what i got from that. And there is some merit in that. Both Earth and Mars have their own orbits, and there are roughly closest every 2.2 years. So planning sending something to Mars at these times are crucial for efficiency. If someone else has more information about this i'd love to hear it.

A continuation of what I have written. Every parent wants their child to grow up to be a doctor but doesnt provide a foundation that begins with reading a bedtime story being a role model so the doctor has ethics have a working knowledge about how to be healthy and a value for the pursuit of knowledge. There are research doctor's people doctors administrative doctors. The doctors that work with people need great intuition and very little math so playing with a baby doll nurtures those instincts. Physical development is crucial because what happens in the lab has very little to do with what happens in the field. The best way to learn anatomy and all that entails is to develop your own body. People that have perfect bodies don't make good teachers because they don't know what struggle is.
