FAA might want to step up their pace before their jobs are on the chopping block next week.

I don't think Elon is too worried about the FAA misbehaving after Jan 20. They need to just do their job and advise aircraft to keep out of the launch corridor.
@safetychuck212 сағат бұрын
In 2 days the FAA will change their tune, or lose their jobs. Safety is one thing, and I'm behind being safe, but holding companies progress hostage because they can, is over. There's a new sheriff in town.

If no one was injured or killed. And no property was damaged. I don’t see how another launch could not happen within a month or 6 Weeks as long as SpaceX has a good idea on what caused the RUD and has a fix for it.

V2 Starship is designed to use Raptor V2 and V3 so it could be from a fuel line issue from material design to connection leak or the redesigned engine bay with inadequate ventilation and or fire suppression with purge gasses for potential flange leakage during thermal change from chilled to red hot.

Why are the new starlink satalights being deployed by the length instead by there width? The pez door could be much shorter. This would require much less reinforcement of the opening thus less dry mass.

I wojld expect the FAA will require SpaceX to redefine the airspace that needs to be cleared to avoud falling debris and perhaps provide evidence or a study that describes the risk assessment of falling debris. Maybe nothing hit the surface from Flight 7 but there's probably no assurance when the destruction is uncontrolled. Apparently there are additional problems launching from Texas that aren't issues launching from Florida. And maybe the launch profile from Texax has to be altered to fully exit the atmosphere before heading down range.

I don't like to see Musk in our politics, but if he can get the FAA to streamline their operation, I would totally support that. the Chinese, Indian and Russian Space Authorities don't have the autocratic troubles our space companies do. One of the reason that they are catching up to us.

FAA shouldn't be involved in "licensing " experimental aircraft. Just keep aircraft out of the flight path of the space industry, sit down and stay quiet.

Since when did the FAA a government entity who's job is to regulate airline safety regulate a private space company ?

Easy to answer: since 1995. This year they took over this responsibility from a dedicated DOT office established 11 years earlier.

So BO succesfully launched NG-1, but the first stage failed its' planned landing, and while its 2nd stage gained orbit, it failed to land as planned . So has FAA now banned NG? (WHY NOT? SINCE FAA NOW PLACED BAN ON SPACEX STARSHIP, THAT HAD SUCCESSFULL LANDING (REMARKABLE CATCH) OF BOOSTER STAGE, BUT FIRST STAGE EXPERIENCED RUD - resulting in (automatic ?) FAA BAN !!!

Heya 👋 kev, Honestly, I am transfixed on the current mishaps of Starships7. I am trying not trivializing none, but~~ How do a the O2 tank rec'd a hole to begin with❓️Was it a minuet puncture in the beginning, like a tiny nail, thn it expand during the Flight❓️Are the "flaps" located in the area of O2 tank❓️ During the structure or the making of the Starship, are they closely watched by the Hi-fi licensed Starships Flight inspector in a daily basis❓️ Like a Quality Control Officers CDC acronym for Center for Disease Control. They're all over private sectors. Kinda like tht, reasons we were able to irradiate and control the Covid-Wuhan. However, SpaceX privately owned by of course Elon Musk, his Staffs and crews. It's jst mind boggling to correct our errors for the BEST. Thank U, kev ✌️✨️ ENJOY 😉 more. ~😺

This getting ridiculous. How many different countries are going to spend billions redoing the same thing already done by other countries. We as a species are never going to get anywhere spending all this money on. One or ten space programs. How much could we get done by working together. Do we need a space station for every single country with an Air Force. If so, it’s going to get crowded up there. I can’t wait to see Vatican Cities space station. Or maybe Bangladesh will put one up to keep up with the Indians.

Pieces half ripped from the hull, multiple fuel leaks, fire at the hinges, many raptors not working in booster and ship, a RUD explosion, a huge comet trail and hundreds of plains deviating to not catch debris. Earlier heatshields burning up in fires, no technical resolution yet. Yeah, Elon's Starship project is 'full on schedule'. I think the thing will fly and land to perfection as it should somewhere around test-ship nr. 78 or so. By that time Elon has died and no astronaut will ever step into that experimental explosion project
