What if it can read your thoughts? Accesses your memories? What if it can replay lost memories? Then you better pray it doesn't get manipulated or abused by government, corporations or hackers. Imagine you 'remember' something, indistinguable from any genuine memories. Yet, it is something you never did, which never happened. This is scary stuff. There should be extremely, extremely, extremely solid laws and policies which prevent any sort of abuse. Like it should be totally offline & local or something. The brain has no pain receptors so it's impossible to feel pain due to a surgical implant there. There might be some pain due to removal of part of the skin covering the skull during surgery but not because of the chip itself.
