What a speech! Absolutely explosive and adequately articulated. I was fortunate enough to have listened to this live broadcast during the Biafran struggle for liberation.

Thank you my hero. You really saw tomorrow. You not only fought for Igbos but for entire human groups who were and still are subjugated to this contraption called Nigeria. The minorities in the north who joined forces against you then are now feeling the heat. May your soul continue to rest on.

He understood it, but it's only that they needed an amalgamated contraption where they will be milking dry without accountability. And to the deterrent of the people

Nigeria today would wish to have someone as late Gen Ojukwu today. Biafra saw this evil and failed country all those years ago. One wonders how Gowon feels about his achievements today?

It was unfortunate that the other tribes in the eastern region saw igbos as a threat to them and preferred a Nigeria than a country with people that they never fought wars with.

Ojukwu should have remained in the war front because he wasn't a good administrator. We had the oil and natural resources so we shouldn't have lost that war. He didn't have the foresight.

@solomondavid34225 ай бұрын
Biafra was blocked, no importation and no exportation and Britain's support for Nigeria because it's the country they created for their own benefit.
@trommelbiel5 ай бұрын
I was a little child in the Igbo hearland of Biafra and l kept running from Bush to Bush. My childhood was a nightmare. Ojukwu is a very stubborn individual. I don't care about the blockades. We had as Igbos would say the " Knife and the Yam". Ojukwu wanted to eat his cake and have it so we lost everything. If he allowed filthy Yoruba and Hausa Fulani to invade and rape our women then he should have made it a world war because many countries wanted the oil and they were ready to fight for it.
@ucol20685 ай бұрын
Ojukwu was fighting against Britain and there's no way he was going to win against a world power
@Fontabele6 ай бұрын
Eloquence is your most concern in the calamities that befell Igbo land. Nna, English is not your language, it was forced on you. With his eloquent speech, Ojukwu got beaten, he ran out of biafra in the middle of the night from Uli airstrip in Ihiala, No matter how long the war lasted, Gowon won the war, if in doubt go ask Alex Madiebo Philip Effiong.and Joe Achuzia.
