Cort is extremely underrated. I would love to have the 5 string model. The body shape is is just different enough from a standard jazz bass to stand out. So glad to see this review.

@@cestusfr I've got the Cort KX508MS, and I absolutely love it. As far as bang for your buck I'd put Cort right up there with Schecter.

I've got a Cort Artisan B5, electronics aren't great, especially the active/passive switch which is basically a bypass so it won't play any sound with a dead battery even in passive mode. Other then that, they're a great value if you're on a budget!

I own both - a 5 string Cort/Elrick from 15 years ago (upgraded with häussel bassbars) and now the NJS5. Awesome instruments for the price. Can easily keep up with instruments twice the price. Love your videos Gregor!

If it had a 38mm nut widith and if the first knob was where the second is this bass would be perfect. But IMO after the 2 singlecoils the second biggest thing that makes a Jbass is the 38mm nut widith. It is also my belief that all other nut widiths should be banned😂

Great video, just subscribed. I’ve been eagerly awaiting the 5 string to become available since they were announced. Just ordered a NJS 5 black on Tuesday thru Thomann..( and saved $$$ vs US prices )will arrive Monday.. Super excited!!

Dude these are not under 1000 bucks. They are between 1400-1500 that's a big difference. At that price it doesn't make sense. I like cort but not that much. The last cort I bought( because of your video by the way) had way too tight of string spacing. The bass was ok but the mark bass pre amp kinda sucked! Now it's just a dust collector 😆

@@runealnervik thanks for the heads up but thomann screwed me on my last 2 orders with there quality control also they report orders with the Government you end up getting a fat tax bill with penalties in the mail from the IRS. After I got screwed on my last order with them I promised myself never again. It's crazy thomann is charging that much lower of a price cause when you type in this bass even from elricks website they are charging 1399 for the 4 string. But honestly even at 1000 bucks I think it's too much money for what your getting even though they slapped a elrick sticker on it it's still just a shined up Indonesian copy.
