Can't imagine hearing this in 1958. Would have been overwhelming. Like, imagine all you listened to was Elvis, Chuck Berry, and Buddy Holly and then somehow you stumble on to this. I assumed this wasn't heard much outside of academic circles at the time though.

Talk about ahead of your time. She must have been an interesting person, would love to have been a fly on the wall while she was creating this music.

At face value, it sounds very weird, creepy, and unsettling. But, this is great material to use for videos because of that factor!

New recording of music which is claimed to be the first piece of electronic music from the country of Denmark - Else Marie Pade is born in Aarhus in 1924 ... and it was 1958 when she visited a planetarium of the Word's Fair in Brussels - an event followed by the composition based on the Gyðrgy Ligeti's principles of sound colours, integral serialism of Pierre Boulez and Karlheinz Stockhausen's mathematically organized score. In 2002 Resonance.dk released "EMP / 7 Cirkler"

Why isn't Pade as well known as Varèse or Stockhausen?

Not sure if this is a fact with her, but it also depends on which "circle of people" you're in....
