In the Old Covenant, the Spirit was upon specific individuals-those who were mouthpieces of God. God would work with a select few, often one person at a time, and this person would stand between God and the people, guiding them. These individuals were typically judges, kings, prophets, etc. However, that covenant has been done away with, and the Pentecost serves as an example that God is no longer dealing with just one individual to guide others. Instead, the Holy Spirit was poured out to all believers, and the Holy Spirit is now our guide. It is important to understand that you cannot isolate a verse from its passage and give it any meaning. For example, Malachi 4:5 should be viewed in context, starting with Malachi 3. Even the verse just before it, Malachi 4:4, says, "Remember the law of my servant Moses," showing that the reference is still pointing to Israel. How does Branham fit into this context, and which message church is observing all the commands given to Moses?

The disciples clearly understood Jesus' teachings, which is why Paul never preached such a doctrine in any of his teachings about Jesus' second coming. Even the verse before Malachi 4:5 says, "Remember the law of my servant Moses." How can one skip that and isolate part of verse 5 to fit a narrative? This is what happens when someone is indoctrinated. The New Testament removes the need for human intermediaries or prophets as a link between man and God. John 16:13 states, "The Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth and tell you what is to come." How does Branham fit into this?
