One of my favorite deep cuts from Elton. It conjures up images of a 1947 dive bar at 2am. A man sits alone in the bar, listening to the piano player. He's staring at the glass on the table which contains his last 2 sips of whiskey - and perhaps, what remains of his romantic illusions. Tomorrow's another day. Evocative stuff ( in black and white-of course).

One of my many favorite deep album cuts by the great Sir Elton John! A very deep rabbit hole to explore. Try his song called Blues For Baby And Me. It's hard to go wrong with his albums of the 1970's.

That guitar lead is too beautiful and I think it's just simply the George Martin reverse the tape technique from the Beatles. When you add that crescendo of an orchestration that's supporting it! You have to be dead to not have a reaction like you did. I don't know if you ever got to "We all fall in love/Curtains" from Captain fantastic but I'm going to tap through your collection and see
