It's a sin was originally a No 1 hit single by The Pet Shop Boys back in 1987. But Sir Elton John along with Years & Years deserve a lot of credit for doing the hit justice with a superb cover.

1:28 is when Pet Shop Boys bring their undeniable magic to it. They were part of the performance but coouldn't perform due to contractual reasons...not "creative differences" that the media reported. No idea how any believed that considering the beat drop, background, and all performers had pure PSB powering them. I would have killed to see them present but it's a brilliant version, Olly really proved himself here.

this is an epic perforce that will go down in history. Elton is amazing and incredibly generous to give Olly the limelight and really just back him and support him. which is truly a beautiful thing. It's a sin is available on HBO max. along with Years and years ( No connection) both TV shows people need to see.

Olly Alexander(Years & Years) is such a lovely person, there was 3 in the band, but Olly recently went solo still under the name Y&Y, he was lead actor in a resent tv series called It's A Sin, don't know if you can get it in America, it is about the start of Aids in the 1980s, brilliant programme, I lived through the fear and uncertainty of the then unknown Aids, and I promise you the programme is so true to life, traumatic and heart breaking, every school should show it in my opinion, Every adult should watch it, to get the true information. if you want to listen to Y&Y I recommend King and If Your Over Me to start with, you won't regret it, you will soon fall in love with Olly :) x

You realize you responded to the original song by the Pet Shop Boys a few months ago right? Just asking as you don’t mention Pet Shop Boys in this vid… 😊
