What an incredible song this was (is) when it first came out. I was a teenager at the time...and I remember climbing onto the roof of my house, with my transistor radio ....and when this song played - looking out into the sunset - was so incredibly beautiful - especially being in love. :) Never forgot hearing this for the first time. Incredible :)

He is 74 now. I think his farewell tour lasts until Thanksgiving....I missed him in Denver and I'm very upset. After rewatching "Sacrifice", a musical masterpiece video, one of his more mature works at the peak of his career, (although many would argue that occurred in the 70's with the success of Yellow Brick Road, before i became aware of the world), which I hadn't heard in years. i have been looking up a lot of his songs and photos and memories...i love the photos from Dodgers stadium in 1975 - he looks so young in his baseball hat and sunglasses and the stadium is packed/sold out the stadium looks super old in the photo compared to the stadiums of today, which also made me feel nostalgic for the old times 70's-80's...it kind of saddens me to see Elton so old now and leaving the entertainment world.

I saw him perform live at age 70 at C Palace, Vegas on Oct 16, 17. He is amazing!! Total legend. No lip sing, powerful projection voice, played piano for two hours and sang for two hours straight. Just amazing and worth the ticket price! So glad I saw him live in my life time.
