We’ve been to Fright Fest at least once a week every week this season. Unleashed and Dead Man’s Party are as good as usual. But a lot of things are definitely not “extreme” this year compared to the last few years. No more Ghouls Parade or Awakening. No more early show times for the shows. No 5pm opening for indoor mazes. We liked most of the mazes better in 2023, especially last year’s Conjuring and Saw. But Asylum and Trick R Treat were pretty great. But we’ll keep coming back every week anyway!

Got to GA this passed Saturday 10/19 and got 3 rides on Kingda Ka. 2 rides early in the day and it was super dope! Rode it again around 9pm and it was a surprisingly rough ride? Lots of headbanging that wasn’t there early in the morning? Caught me off guard

I had the RIP tour on Saturday. It was sweet. Only $10 more than the express that night, the express lines were longer than stand by, and we just walked right up to all of them. Plus the buffet and lounge were nice bonuses. Seriously spend the little bit more if you're there on a Saturday. The only show I saw was Dead Man's Party, but it wasn't spooky so my brother did it with me. It was really fun. My favorite maze was the Big Top with the 3D effects. Really felt like ghosts hovering front of me. So cool. I did HHN Orlando this year, and Fright Fest Extreme was better. Halloweekends at my home park of Cedar Point is still the best I've done this year.

Asylum is the best maze. There is actually one of my favorite mazes there right up the big top terror on a busy day with the scare actors.

I was there two days ago and the parking lot was completely filled lol. I haven’t seen that happen for a long time and I’m glad the park is still pulling in guests. I’m too scared to do the mazes tho 😂

We were at adventureland foe phantom fest ,earlier this month at valleyscare. Cedar fair/six flags win on mazes and decorations. Palace parks had a fun event but did not match valleyfair

I always loved Fright Fest. Fun to see a show. I miss the Hayride to the Unknown, from the 90s. And Elvira's Superstition at the right stuff simulator.

Little late but I finally got to Fight Fest and my conclusion is Dorney was better. For full disclosure I went on the last Sunday of the year. The park was not packed and as long as you didn’t do Nitro, Jersey Devil, or Houdini the lines were alright just for reference. It’s mildly depressing though because Great Adventure originally wanted to charge extra for the entire event not just the mazes. And thank god they didn’t because I would have been pissed. I hope things improve for next year since the mazes are constructed now and they can fine tune over the next year more easily. We’ll see; I’m not optimistic though as Great Adventure keeps starting projects and not really finishing them. But in all seriousness if you are in the area and want to go to a great Halloween event don’t sleep on Dorney. Good shows, mazes, tons of scare zones that honestly surprised me how good they were, and an amazing kids event beforehand.

Hershey Park doesn’t charge extra to go in the houses. I don’t think Great Adventure should either!

hershey is also a smaller event. That being said as a six flags passholder it would be cheaper to go to hershey than six flags. this season.

The only thing frightening about this is that the Big Green might not be around much longer.. also I missed the last weekend for Cedar Point this season cause I didn't realize it ended today.. so that's fun..

You should def come to Kennywoods Halloween events lol, I still call it and will always call it Phantom Fright nights 😂😂 would you maybe consider next year when steel curtain (hopefully) opens back up…?

Haven't been to Great Adventure since 2019 but Fatburger is so good. I'm mad they shut down the one at the Cherry Hill Mall this year. At least we still got The Habit.

These are licened locations using the same food otherwise in the park. That being said there may be more of a commitement to quality of service or consistancy.

Thanks for the vid. my asaumption is that I will need to come early and also buy express given the crowds if I want to see everything. I would somewhat wonder what your experience would be without express if the park didn't give it to you.

Asylum is one of my favorites. Trick-or-treat is more of a kid frendlyanyone. Big top is my second favorite favorite.

I was very disappointed I went on opening day none of the themed haunts (such as stranger things or saw) were open and there was only like 4 scare actors walking around and only by the entrance. I guess it was cause of the rainy weather.

Fright Fest any good? I'd say absolutely not. They got rid of the Ghouls Parade, Awakening, early show times and no early opening for indoor mazes AND... Now it's an upcharge! To anyone with a membership, when I found out all the shit Six Flags was pulling I reached out to customer service to see if anything was changing for 2025 members like having black out dates or upcharging for Fright fest, the answer I received made me immediately cancel my membership. It makes sense they'd do that next year anyway and not during the joke of a 50th anniversary we had during 2024.

Honestly I think Cedar Fair does the best haunts tbh, also Ryan I’ve been trying to recommend a problematic coasters vid but you never respond to my comments and then I remembered you have a kid now lol.
