Ever since his Engineer friend died, Soldier has been trying to become clean, staying inside his house the majority of the time until his cocaine addiction wore off. One fateful night however, Soldier was trying to sleep on his bed which only consisted of a mattress, as Soldier had no job, he couldn't afford a pillow or blanket, so he used the mattress for warmth. This was not very comfortable, however, and Soldier couldn't even close his eyes. Soldier could've sworn he saw a wooden cutout of his friend, as well as hearing him shout "Soldier's a goner!" However, this was cut short after Soldier heard Medic calling to him. He got out of bed, and peered out the window. Medic, trying to tempt Soldier to re-gain his addiction, spoke to an open box in the middle. "Not medicine!" he said. Of course, he was talking about cocaine. Medic ran off with it, as a nearby Spy snorted the trail of coke behind him. Soldier saw how much fun they were having, and decided to step outside. This, of course, meant he had to go down the stairs leading to Engineer's room. Soldier tried not to think of him too much, but the staircase was proving to be quite the obstacle. Soldier proceeded to stack multiple hats to ensure protection against bad thoughts, as he quickly rolled through Engineer's room. As he emerged from his house, a nearby Demoman told the box "Scrumpy." A bottle of Demoman's favorite scrumpy emerged from the box. Sniper then asked for "Christmas morning" Multiple items emerged; a horn, can of Bonk! Atomic Punch, jar of urine, bottle of scrumpy, bottle of milk, and a couch. Sniper groaned, as it was not what he asked for. Heavy shouted "Medic!" and Medic appeared behind him, injecting his eye with a dose of Schadenfreude. This severely lowered his poly count, as he muffled "I love this doctor!" Medic then broke out into maniacal laughter. It was then Soldier's turn, as he glanced at Medic, the temptation grew larger, and he finally gave in. "Box of cox." said Soldier. A box filled with cocaine emerged from the crate, and Soldier jumped on top of it. Medic laughed again. Scout, who was lying on the floor, yelled "FIRE!" A lit lantern emerged from the box and struck Scout, setting him on fire. After Robot Soldiers chased off Heavy, Demoman stabbed himself with a broken bottle, and Spy was consumed by the box, Pyro had seen enough. He wanted to teach a lesson to everyone, as he mumbled something. A jar emerged from the box and flew into the sky. Moments later, a giant teddy bear appeared on the horizon. This frightened Soldier very much, as he ran back into his house, and got back in bed. This didn't last long, however, as the spiders of temptation engulfed him.

I wonder if this is like a metaphorical representation of what it's like doing a hard drug that you're addicted to; like the moment you don't have it you're uncomfortable and scared (when soldier is in his room trying to avoid the spiders), and when you finally get to have it you get to enjoy that moment of unrestrained euphoria (I'm thinking the Medic would be a dealer, or that one junkie friend that can get you into really messed up stuff along with him), until things get way too trippy (when the giant teddy monster appears) and you have to come back down to reality (soldier running back to cower on his bed) and it feels ten times worse (all the spiders dropping on top of him)

Oh man it actually makes sense. it may also represent many different drugs. It was a windy night in rp_outlandsforest_v2. Soldier was in his house, trying to get some rest. It wasn't a very comfortable bed, or house. It was very dusty inside, and infested with spiders. Soldier had to hide under his mattress for warmth. Soldier looked around nervously, and saw a cardboard cutout of the Engineer behind a pile of boxes. His eyes widened, noticing it was now gone. He noticed every spider on the wall fell into a pile. This scared Soldier, and he pulled the mattress closer to his face. Suddenly, a loud crash was heard. Soldier let out a small yelp, falling off the bed into the unlit fireplace. Soldier gets up and looks around to ensure his safety. He noticed a spider was touching his hand. He flinched, falling into the fireplace. He crawled out, letting out an annoyed groan. "Soldier!" He heard a german man call. He got up and looked out the window. The man sounded impatient, it must be important. "Los, los!" He yelled. Soldier poked his head out the window, and saw Medic, Pyro, Sniper, and Demoman sitting around the campfire. Soldier smiled. "Schnell!" Medic yelled in German. "Okay!" Soldier responded with a smile. Medic looked at a large crate. "Not medicine." He said. A big jar flew out the crate into his arms, which was labeled "Not medicine". Medic smiled. He started running into the dark, spooky forest, leaving a breadcrumb trail of "Not medicine". A frenchman was heard laughing, who then slid across the floor, snorting the powder that was spread across the grass. Soldier seemed interested in the crate. He could say anything he wanted and the crate would give it to him. He walked away from the window, slapping a spider off his head, and started walking towards the front door. Until he encountered his greatest enemy: the stairs. He looked at it, knowing what would happen if he tried to walk down it without protection. He thought for a moment, and looked at a shelf stocked with helmets beside him. He put one of them on, but he didn't think it was enough. He put on another one, and four more. That was enough. He almost placed his foot on the first step, but he stopped himself. "No." He said, pointing at the stairs. He put on the last helmet on the shelf, then proceeded to roll down the stairs, through the hallway, and into the front door. He took off his helmets with a big smile on his face. He looked at his Scottish pal, who said "Scrumpy". A bottle of "Scrumpy" flew out of the crate, into his mouth. Demoman fell over. "Oh.. Bloody hell!" He exclaimed. Sniper looked at him, then at the crate. He was confused as to how a crate could summon objects out of thin air. "Christmas morning." He said hesitantly, wanting to try it out himself. A cone, a can of Bonk! Atomic Punch, a jar of Mad Milk, a jar of Jarate, a bottle of "Scrumpy", and a couch flew out of the crate. The cone was shoved into Sniper's mouth, and every beverage which flew out of the crate was poured into it. The cone was removed, and the bottle was shoved into his mouth. The couch slid below his feet, and he fell onto it. The couch tipped over and flew away. Sniper was lying on the grass. He groaned, disgusted by the awful taste of radioactive soda, an unknown white substance, and his own urine. Heavy looked at the seemingly unconscious Sniper and called for Medic. Medic rose from the ground with a jolly "Ooh!". Heavy stared at him, concerned about the doctor's sanity. Medic then shoved a needle into Heavy's eye, which was most likely filled with drugs. Heavy fell down, turning into PS1 Hagrid. A muffled "I love this doctor!" could be heard from the early, low poly model. Medic laughed, feeling accomplished. It was now Soldier's turn to wish for something. He looked at the magical, maybe cursed crate. And said the object he has always desired. "Box of Cox." And so, a fat box full of cocaine flew out of the box, landing on the ground next to it. Soldier smiled, jumping onto the precious box. Medic laughed again, but it sounded much more evil. Did Medic invent this cursed crate? Meanwhile, Scout was looking at a mushroom. His eyes widened. "Fire!" He yelled. A torch flew out of the damned crate, flying into his crotch. Soon, the young Bostonian caught on fire. "I'm burning!" He screamed. Heavy, who seems to have been cured from whatever drug he was injected with, was being chased by a small cardboard robot. Another one of them jumped out of the crate. Demo drunkenly waved his broken bottle of "Scrumpy", accidentally stabbing himself in the chest with it. "Agh!" He cried. Spy wanted a dispenser, that's it. "Dummkofs!" Medic exclaimed. Spy looked inside the crate, hoping to find a dispenser, but instead falling into the crate. Pyro looked at the empty campground, and said something only Engie is able to translate. Soldier got up. "What?" He and the one who wrote this comment said in sync. And then there's a giant fucking teddy bear cause why not. Soldier screamed, running into his house, rolling up the stairs, and landing onto his bed, hoping to not get completely destroyed by the giant teddy. And then he got dog-piled by spiders. The end.

When the medic was yelling "Schnell!" in the video, I realized I didn't realize what it meant... Some people tend to use it to mean like a shorter, more german way of saying "go go go!" or "get over here!" or "hey you!" or "your liver is based!", and I guess "mach schnell" technically conveys the same information of "go go go" but schnell on its own apparently just means "fast" and for some reason the idea of medic just yelling "FAST" at Soldier in the window was ridiculous to me. Probably because it is 4:00am and I should be asleep.

One dreary night, Soldier was in bed. The night, thus far, had proven to be a sleepless one. Spiders infested Soldier's bedroom, and he could only think of his late friend, Engineer. In his delirium, he catches a glimpse of Engi in a dark corner of his room. He could faintly hear Engi's cries from when Soldier last indulged in his cocaine habit. When he focuses his gaze, he sees nothing. It was just a trick of the shadows. The Soldier is frightened by this. Is he being haunted? A passing light spooks the spiders to a corner, which both relieves and frightens Soldier. They are kept away, but now he sees just how many were on the wall. A loud bang shakes the room, causing Soldier to fall into the fireplace. After he inspects the room, he tries to climb out, only to be spooked by a spider on his mattress. He once again tries to climb out; this time he succeeds. He laments the infested state of his room, but this reverie is cut short by Medic's voice calling out to him. Hesitantly, he peers out the window. Of course, Medic is outside, along with the other campers. Medic urges him to come out and see what they found, and Soldier agrees. Medic turns to the crate and demands "not medicine", which was Medic's codeword for cocaine. From the crate, a drum of cocaine flies into Medic's hands. Medic runs off into the woods, with Spy snorting the trail of fallen cocaine. Soldier begins to leave the window, when it dawns on him. He must go through Engineer's bedroom. He dreads going through Engi's room. He's has yet to forgive himself for letting Engi die. Yet, he has agreed to meet Medic outside. He makes his way to the staircase, but grief causes him to hesitate. Soldier must swallow his grief if he wants to leave his house... or does he? Helmets give him confidence, and there is a rack of them by the stairs. So he dons one. He looks down the stairs, only to realize that grief still grips him. So he puts on another helmet for more confidence. The dread remains. A handful more helmets. Soldier now feels confident enough to go through his deceased friend's room. He looks down the stairs, and utters a firm "No". He will not let grief hold him back! Not after he dons his last helmet. He rushes through Engineer's room, trying to make it out the door before the has a chance to second guess himself. Soldier finally crashes through the door, eager to join his friends. Demo turns to the crate and demands "Scrumpy!" A bottle of Demo's favorite liquor flies from the crate, only to get lodged in his one remaining eye. Sniper turns to the crate and demands a "Christmas Morning", which is Sniper's cocktail of choice. A funnel is put in Sniper's mouth, as the ingredients are poured in. The funnel is pulled out and replaced with a chaser. Lastly, Sniper is swept off his feet, and collapses in the armchair provided by the crate, only to fall out due to his drunkenness. Heavy calls for Medic, who promptly arrives. Heavy has barely a second to question the strange look in Medic's eyes before his is pierced by a syringe. One containing Medic's signature drug, "Schadenfreude". Heavy falls over, feeling numb and clammy. This dose was much more concentrated than last time. He weakly calls out "I love this doctor!", evidently enjoying the sensations Schadenfreude instills. Medic laughs to himself. Soldier looks upon the campsite in bewilderment. Everyone was getting what they wanted, yet no one was happy or even comforted by these things. Medic looks at him expectantly, as if to say "Well? Your turn." Soldier turns to the crate, and requests a box of "Cox". Soldier's codeword for cocaine. Out from the crate, a box shoots, spilling white powder from its seams. Soldeir knows he shouldn't, but the temptation is too great. He seizes the box. Medic laughs to himself. Scout was one of the few campers who hadn't asked the crate for anything. He was tripping on mushrooms this entire time. However, he was having a bad trip. He had believed that he was burning alive, and cried out "FIRE!" A lantern flies from the crate, and collides with Scout's limp body. Scout feels something is off. He was *really* burning alive. Scout couldn't do much but cry out in pain. In the background, a small cardboard robot was chasing Heavy, who was still feeling the effects of Schadenfreude. Two more of these robot leap from the crate, completely unbidden. Demo, severely intoxicated, was trying to kill a spider on his chest with a broken bottle. He impaled himself. Spy was curiously looking into the crate, while Medic watched. Spy lost his footing, and fell into the crate. Medic laughed to himself. One of the robots was found on top of Sniper's crumpled body, pushing a sandwich from its mouth. Pyro was the last one to petition the crate. Displeased with the chaos around them, they mumbled a request. A firework flew from the crate, and burst in the air. Soldier was startled from his stupor by the explosion, only to behold one of his greatest fears. Greater than his fear of the spiders that infested his room and the fear of facing his grief. A giant Teddy Bear rose from the trees, roaring with rage! Soldier bolted from his box, through the door, through the living room, through Engineer's room, and into his bed. He had scarcely a second or two to cower before being buried in spiders.
