Talking about former Hurdy Gurdy players - have you ever checked out Michalina's own band Lyrre? She doesn't only play the hurdy there, but is also the band's vocalist. She's an incredible singer too. Have a look at their song "Divide and Conquer"

For the very first second i was like "Wait... wait..wait...wait...since when Eluveitie gone full death metal?" After "Omnos" or "Call of the mountains" that was very different approach.

Such an out of place solo lol Following the band since 2005. Used to be absolutely slaying pure fucking folk metal with Kirder brothers. "Spirit" is prolly the best folk metal album ever released. After the great "Slania" everything went downhill. Rehashing old tunes with poppy vocals and useless solos. Cant blame them though, bills need to be payed after all. Just miss the old days.

@@APREACTS solo itself is ok but it totally digs out of the celtic atmosphere in my eyes, but each to his own. This song is written by Mr. Wolf therefore he HAD to put it in there as he is indeed a great guitarist and prolly feels need to demonstrate his skills.

Youre crazy there 3 best songs are each on every following albums. Thousandfold, Omnos, and The Call of the Mountains. I agree they fell of a little but to say they are no good after Slania is just crazy. And i been listening since their demo days. A Folk metal band that actually fell off is Equilibrium, and i would argue Sagas is they best folk metal album ever.

@eliisaac songs you mentioned are utter shit and has nothing to do with the band that once wrote songs like Uis Elveti, Calling The Rain, Your Gaulish War etc. Kirder brothers left the band accurate before Chrigel decided to turn them into Eurovision format folk band where soft poppy female vocals are dominating. If you like that Eluveitie post Slania era - totally fine, but it baffles me when people don't see the difference.

@@TrulyStucker Dude youre so angry for nothing... its a band they change, I like their first five albums up to Origins, the last 2 were Ok just didnt hook me as much. It's ok to dislike the later stuff but its Eluveitie all their albums are the same. Bunch of slow folk stuff with a couple all out bangers mixed in. For example Sempiternal Embers and Calling the Rain are extremely similar songs that placed in almost the exact same spots on both their albums. Both great songs, both very similar. Its eluveitie, they found a formula and milked it albeit with a little more soft folk and female vocals. In all honesty as well I would say Sempiternal Embers is the better song!
