THANK YOU!!! I love this song & I’ll recommend The Slumber, Breathe, Ategnatos, and The Call of the Mountains, but especially A Rose for Epona (the lyric video has the backstory for the song) 😉 Have a fantastic day 😎

Excellent! One of my all-time favorite metal bands right up there with Nightwish, Cradle Of Filth and Arch Enemy! Definitely recommend checking out their earlier work from when Anna, Merlin and Ivo (now of Cellar Darling) were in the band; KING is a must-listen from that era!

I literally laughed out loud at "and a harp?" right after you were talking about all the instruments. :)

A lot of instruments and that is folk metal for you in a nutshell. :-D Joking a little. The singer is Fabienne Erni who is also a harp player. She is the second vocalist. The band´s former vocalist was Anna Murphy who left and founded her own band called Cellar Darling (a folk metal band, as well) and she is a hurdy-gurdy player, as well. The band is from Switzerland.

Hi there, new subscriber here.... So, I discovered Eluveitie about 2 years ago and they are currently my favorite and most listened to band... and I have a very extensive metal collection to say the least. There are so many must react songs for you.... please go down this rabbit hole!! :) King, The Call of the Mountains, Helvetios, Thousandfold, Quoth the Raven, Inis Mona, A Rose For Epona, Alesia, Slania's Song, and Havoc are arguably their TOP 10 best and most popular songs (if I had to pick 10) with their previous female vocalist (Anna Murphy) ..... and then pretty much anything from their last album (Ategnatos) w/ Fabienne Erni (who is the angelic red headed goddess in this video, and their current female vocalist, and the future of this band) is a must listen. If I had to pick a few for you though, definitely do Ategnatos, Breathe, The Slumber and Deathwalker.... or just do an entire album review? :) Another thing.... while many of these have great official videos that would make great reactions..... seeing this band perform LIVE is a MUST. Just make sure you have a good sound quality video, there are plenty of pro-shot official live videos on KZbin to pick from including many HD pro-shot FULL concert videos. They are currently a 9 piece band: Christian "Chrigel" Glanzmann - vocals, mandola, tin whistle, low whistle, Bodhrán, harp Fabienne Erni - vocals, mandola, harp Kay Brem - bass Rafael Salzmann - guitar Jonas Wolf - guitar Matteo Sisti - tin whistles, low whistles, bagpipes Nicole Ansperger - strings Michalina Malisz - hurdy gurdy Alain Ackermann - drums You haven't lived until you have seen Fabienne do epic hair windmills while playing the harp!! :) This FULL concert is from less than 2 months ago, it's their official live album that just came out and is perfect HD high quality audio and video, easily best Eluveitie full concert on KZbin! ----> kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4WaeZeuaM-MrZo A full concert reaction video would be the best birthday present I get (it's my birthday this month).... but if not, at least watch and enjoy it yourself when you have the time!!! You will be so glad you did! Edit: So after posting this comment, I started watching that full concert again myself (I just watched it yesterday too) and it is soooo addicting. Watching them perform and jam out w/ all those folk instruments is a must see! If you start watching this concert, you will not be able to stop... please just do an hour and 14 minute long reaction... then we can watch it together! :)

God yes please give xSOILBORNx a super great belated birthday present. Please do a full concert reaction video after you did some other reactions to other songs from them, older ones and newer ones! Would love to see you rocking and headbanging for over an hour long!! ❤❤❤

Great reaction! I really love Eluveitie myself, especially the lead singer Fabienne! Speaking about her, I suggest you check out her band Illumishade, they only have 2 songs right now (3rd one will be released March 20th) and both of them are really great!

Tauri, if you want some REAL laughs, I just tried to explain the hurdy-gurdy's sound mechanisms to Tank in his old reaction to the same song. The comedy gold is, I'm not a gurdy-player, but I've made some other instruments, designed effects pedals, etc. A hurdy gurdy is a wild instrument, and I hope to have one some day.... but I should really stick with guitar, keys, and designing boxes that make noise.

I love this song, the instrumental parts in this song is really great!. The second part of the song where the Hurdy Gurdy, the Flute and the Guitar make each a solo, almost competing against each other, that part is incredible!. What would you rate this song? 1-10 🤘’s?. 1 is really bad, awful the worst. 10 is incredible, splendid the best. I give this a solid 9🤘’s. Keep on rocking! 🤘🤘

According to the male lead vocalist it's pronounced El-Vey-tee, so I wasn't far off. You can see him pronounce it himself in this interview at 04:48: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jZq7qHmuYs2cj9k And thanks for letting me know the name of the instrument! :)
