Elves in Iceland!

as a little girl growing up in my home country, elves and fairies was a serious business. in my grandmother's village there was as an order of proceedings during dusk and after. they took their hidden people Very seriously and always warned us about where we go at night. my grandmother and many neighbors had several encounters which they told of to us, that have left them visibly traumatized, about crossing paths with elves and fairies at certain hours. i grew up with respect for this realm.
