I appreciate many kinds of good music, I also know all the songs of Johnny Cash and June Carter (Great) and other great artists. However, Elvis remains the greatest musician and entertainer of all time, but in all his songs, all the power of his soul comes out. One could also say that he gave his whole heart to his listeners. 1968, what a wonderful show that was! He had so much charisma and just oozed sexuality. I graduated that year from high school and was in love with him and still love him all these years later. I was 7 years old when I first heard Elvis, I was visiting my relatives in South Texas for the summer school break, I will never forget, we were out in the cotton fields and someone had a transitor radio and Return to Sender came on. Just now, I didn't play the video, 'cuz I wasn't in the mood to surrender and cry...then I read the complete lyrics of the song, that Yagiz Presley typed, a commenter a couple of up from this. I was crying reading the lyrics half way down. Mercy. Such a beautiful, beautiful song...and Elvis sings it with such heart. "And I Love You So" is in my, "Top 100 of My Very, Very Favorite Elivis Song List". My hubbie sings beautifully and I want him to sing along with Elvis, on my death bed. It's rare that people get to say goodbye, the way they imagine it will be. As back up, hubbie sings me this song every wedding anniversary. He also sings, Barry White's, "You're The First, The Last, My Everything". I'm 71 y.o., he's 65. We're usually rolling to enhance the experience. I miss Elvis, more than words can say. I feel fortunate to have seen him in Vegas in '75. Still beautiful.
