Your right Kathy surely should have talked to Elvis about Lisa. It would have made me so mad I would have had to say something. Enjoyed it. Thank you💜

I am reading a lot of Memphis mafia books because I’m trying to see how many stories are repeated by others with their own spin. I read Jerry’s book but don’t recall him mentioning Kathy. Either way I find that many of the guys were vying to be the best friend and most important person to Elvis. Even Jerry I think mentions how if Elvis didn’t pay attention to a guy that guy felt left out. Sounds like high school

Re what you said about Kathy and Lisa that is sad. Ginger describes in her book that she felt like Lisa was friendly to her one day. Than another day Lisa wasn't friendly. Do you think its possible that perhaps Lisa's mother was telling Lisa not to interact with her?

I also wish that Kathy would have spoken to Elvis about Lisa Marie. I always liked how straight forward Lisa was. Hope you had a great Sunday. Thank you so much Joe.

The bodyguards lied about a lot of things, I don't like their book about Elvis, they were jealous and petty. That was one thing I heard from Ann Margaret in the Charlie Rose interview, she said that people around him betrayed him and used Elvis to make money, after he had been so good to them. I saw red west cuss a fan out in an interview with him in Germany. A fan ask him point blank if he did it for money? He blew a fuse, and cursed them out for 3 minutes straight. He was an angry man. Whether he intended to be that rough or not, it made an impact on me. He of course recorded Elvis when on the phone with him. Elvis was right, when he said you have a hard time deciding who is using you, and who really cares for you. Lisa was a pawn to them. Heavy is the head that wears the crown. Thanks Joe

I understand how Red felt. Elvis should have fired them to there faces not running away and Vernon doing the dirty work. Vernon wanted to get rid of the MM anyway and never gave them money to live on that Elvis requested. So Vernon undermined his son and is ultimately responsible. Vernon also let Prissy take over when Elvis did not want her in his WILL. Also Vernon did nothing about the drugs & he had to have known. Red paid a heavy price for writing that book and lived to regret it because he loved Elvis and was very hurt. Sometimes love and hate run a fine line. So much has been written and us fans are entitled to our opinions.

Poor Lisa, she needed a caring female in her life,and it seems the only ones she had was Linda and Kathy who took time eith her and cared about her. How cruel of whoever told Elvis that lie! Kathy Shiuld have went straight to Elvis and asked him Why she wasn't allowed to be around Lisa! I'm sure he would have told her what was yold yo him, because he was honest in those kinds of things.He could also tell when someone was lying or not,so when she denied it,he would've known the truth!😢

About Kathy and Jerry - he doesn't mention her in his book, but Myrna Smith from the Sweet Inspirations. Maybe because of the other guys from the Memphis Mafia? Too much gossip...
@sarahgordino6695Күн бұрын
RE Jerry dating Kathy in ‘73. That’s really interesting because Jerry started dating Myrna around April ‘73. I believe both Jerry and Myrna have confirmed those dates. Jerry Fudges the dates in his book because the line blurs with his separation from his ex wife Sandy. But Myrna and Jerry have both said many times that they were together during the playboy plane incident when he got with a bunny. And this was before April ‘73. So there was definitely some funny business going on. I always knew Myrna and Kathy weren’t particularly close. I know that when Elvis embarrassed Kathy at that infamous performance when the girls walked off in solidarity with Kathy, the only one who stayed was Myrna. And she mentioned years later it was because she warned her about Elvis being a bit of a ladies man. Etc. And of course we all know that Jerry and Myrna later got married after Elvis’ death. This is so interesting!!

Hmmm, now I feel suspicious of Kathy. What a weird response to being told she can’t play with Lisa. If she was dating Schilling, why was she suddenly interested in Lisa? I would probably question her motives too. Also, it’s odd to tell a child a scary story. I don’t know, the vibes are off to this mama bear.

I missed your live, Joe. I had looked for you several times, but somehow missed you! Anyway, I never heard that Kathy dated Jerry before either. Interesting. I agree that Kathy should have asked about lisa not being allowed to play with her. Seems petty to me. I’m sure if Kathy didn’t want to spend time with Lisa she would have made excuses. She didn’t though because Lisa was a good distraction from Elvis career for both of them. Really enjoy your reading and singing. I did go to the legends page but only found Kentucky Rain. It was great!❤

If Kathy felt sorry for Lisa Marie because she was "lonely" then abandoning her was cruel and one more wound. Why would you allow Lisa to lose you if you loved her? Why wouldn't you just say Elvis WTF I love Lisa .... To call hurting a child "silly" is cold-hearted. It sounds like Kathy was a sycophant to Elvis willing to give up her morals, her self-respect, her friendship with Lisa just to be in his orbit.

Joe. I like your show and songs.On occasion, I disagree with your opinions because I have better sources for the issue.I do extensive. crosd referencimh research.One issue is Lucy.If her story were true, it would be awesome.But there are countless inconsistencies.A few is understandable.Plus, a biographer has an obligation to get things right.He wrote her story based mostly on her diary.Regardless of any age, any woman would know the state they were married in.Elvis did not ride airplanes in the fifties.. seventies. Desiree did not want his fortune because her proof in court would be circumstantial.The court would require a DNA now.She refused because she cannot pass it.I hop you interview her.A great lawyer could out her in a corner.Keep up doing what you do.I will continue watching, regardless.
