In Elvis's time, fans only focused on Elvis and the music. His private life was his and that was respected. How things have changed. Billy and Jo were dedicated to Elvis when he was alive, from what I've read. They have a right to defend Elvis in anyway they feel is fit.. Sent my DNA to 23&me who in turn connected me with some relatives & informed me Elvis was was my 9th cousin and we shared DNA. I have the info from 23&me. I have no issue sharing my DNA.

I saw that video too and didn’t watch the whole thing because I agree it wasn’t nice on their part. They don’t know the book but they also just brushed it off as if it was a joke. Elvis certainly didn’t tell everyone his personal life because he didn’t want it out there and I have no problem believing that her story is true. I know from my own life that all Desiree wants is to know the truth either way and no one wants to help. She deserves to know the answer for herself and some peace in her life. Merry Christmas to all. No one ever mentions the will that was destroyed by Vernon & Priscilla after August 1977. That needs to be looked into. Lisa's death has changed things, and the family is very nervous about the possibility of other children. I feel all these possible children need to have their DNA tested to see if they are related to one another first. Then proceed from there. There are tons of Presleys in MIssissippi, many are desendents of Noah Presley..I think he may be a key to this mystery..I understand why they do not want to unlock that door. I will never believe that beautiful ELVIS only had one child. These children have a right to know who their father is. And, HAPPY 2025 TO ALL. I picked up the book about 25 years ago and read it. It is very convincing but it was unfortunate that no one could confirm her story. There were several people mentioned who had sadly passed away. It has always surprised me how everyone is so adamant that Elvis had no other children, everyone seems to dismiss it. ❤

Could it be that Elvis's relatives don't want to share their DNA with Desiree because it would be like opening a can of worms so to speak . Because if they do it for Desiree so many others who claim to be Elvis's children would also have access to this information...... and it is very possible that there could be other children out there too. The problem with this is although Desiree is not making any financial claims against the estate...... the other children might make claims against the estate. So basically if they say Yes to Desiree they would have to say Yes to the others as well. And this is a Big threat to EPE. Therefore none of the relatives want to be the one who started all the trouble.

If any of Elvis’s family willing to give DNA I would think it would be Billy Smith and surprised he refuses. First of all he once stated that in the last Will and Testament of Elvis from 1977 that Elvis was going to leave Billy either 100 or 150K. However, after Elvis died that page of the Will was taken out. By who Vernon or Priscilla maybe? In the early 80’s Billy was fired from Graceland and I also think they tried to prevent him from taking his trailer and other possessions Elvis had given him. Billy and his family was treated so poorly by Priscilla and EPE. Billy has never been recognized by Graceland or in any of the movies as the closest confidant/friend of Elvis as we all know he was. If Billy would provide DNA to Desiree it would be the ultimate revenge against how he was treated. But he won’t and why? Are financial incentives being given to blood relatives to not put DNA out into the universe to protect the financial empire of EPE.

Everybody in Elvis World, it seems, portrays themselves to having been the closest to Elvis, who therefore knows everything. I do think, from all I read, that Elvis had a way of making everybody feel like the most important person in the world. That doesn't mean they knew it all. The authenticated documents ought to be sufficient to open the door to the possibility of a relationship between Lucy and Elvis. They can still be skeptical, and I know there have been lots of kooks claiming to be his child, but they SHOULD want to honor Elvis, either by confirming or denying the irrefutable evidence that DNA could provide.

The book is the thing. They need to know the facts. I got in trouble for saying that Billy was younger than Elvis and wasn't involved with Elvis at that time. Elvis was Not Famous. He was 18 and Lucy was 17. I think they have real old memories, when Elvis became famous, and after he died, they haven't kept up with anything since then. they are nice but they didn't know anything about Priscilla, and things she did or Lisa did after Graceland. And being 80 myself I can't remember stuff from years ago. I am with you Joe, but people don't want to change, and they probably think it's a shake down. My opinion is that Elvis would not have said anything bc Lucy told him not to bc her life and her children’s lives and even Elvis’ life was at stake. I believe he knew the enormity and seriousness of this request. He was not going to say anything. He didn’t even tell his mom about her bc Lucy said please don’t. I'm afraid the Smiths are afraid to open that door. If they met her in real life, I think Billy Smith might see some resemblance between Desiree and other family members, if not Elvis, as there are traits in looks and voice that are sometimes skipped between generations. Just meeting each other is the first step, without any obligation or promises. It would have to be a non-committal situation on both sides to have a meeting. I would think Billy Smith would be curious though, if he's watched the interviews from the 1980's or read the book. I certainly would be curious if it was a potential family member that I was possibly shutting out. I know Elvis was motivated always by love and faith, instead of by fear.

To rely on what everybody else is saying about Elvis, I believe in my heart that if Elvis had another daughter, he would’ve acknowledged her a long time ago he would have made sure she was taken care of, and you say that the daughter didn’t question till after his death to me I’m questioning. Is this some money thing? Is this another scandal is this something to continue to smear Elvis‘s name, everybody has smeared his name for 40+ years almost 50 and it’s heartbreaking because the man was not perfect and it seems like he can’t rest in peace. It’s like no matter what if it’s not Priscilla smearing his name it’s somebody else and his daughter was the one that suffered in grieved over her dad. She knew her dad wasn’t perfect. He had demons that he was dealing with, but nobody wants to let it go. I just think it’s sad that this woman’s coming forth now And if it’s true, it’s true if it’s for the money shame on her how did she get the Presley name for one thing why would the mom if she wasn’t sure that she conceived with Elvis give her the Presley name and put her through all this it’s just heartbreaking now Lisa’s kids have to go through this Because you know they’re gonna hear about it or they probably already have and whoever I don’t know the person that wrote the book. I’ve never heard of a Lucy, but I just prayed that things will work out and truth will be told. It may hurt a lot of people and it may not. I just wish they would let him alone. I don’t hear people on KZbin smear as many people as they do out it’s always everything he’s done wrong and now we have Bill Stanley and Billy Smith trying to talk positive and lift up his memory and I think it’s wonderful. I know they said that Elvis forgave red West and sunny and the others that had wrote bad things about him and he made peace with him, but he was so hurt and devastated. You know people do have private lives and they don’t want their trash be thrown out all over but this is what happens when you’re a celebrity people think you’re supposed to be perfect why you’re not There’s a lot of people out there in this day and age that’s in the limelight that are not perfect people you have women out there that every time you turn around they’re hopping from one bed to the other, and the men are doing the same thing. There’s no respect for themselves or the people that they’re with. I just think it’s sad. I just it’s heartbreaking. This is what our country are. Our lifestyle has come to, and there’s no morals and the young people don’t have no one to really look up to, but thank God and I mean, thank God thank the good Lord we have Jesus to look up to because he is perfect. I have often wondered why Vernon & Dee never had children. She was certainly young enough when they married. I have also read that Vernon was sterile, from a case of mumps as a young child. But, that would put into question of who might be the true father of Elvis..Been wanting to say this for a long time. The saddest part of all of this is: Lisa truly could have benefited from having siblings to have in her life. I hate to think it was Priscilla that kept all of that away from Lisa. I'm not a legal expert, so I am reaching out to someone here who is more knowledgeable about he law. In Elvis' will, it is stated that the estate is left ONLY to the children born within a legal marriage. Is this normal for a will? Is it just legalese? Or is it saying, "I might have children outside the realm of marriage, but I am only leaving my estate to those born within my marriage." Is Elvis admitting it is possible he had children besides Lisa Marie?

His edit is rough, but it’s basically exactly what Jo said. Diserree reached out to ask to test her DNA against there’s and they denied it and said that Diserree knew that no blood relatives of Elvis would ever give up blood for a DNA test. Tbh I think it’s how they keep the flood gates closed from claims against the Estate and thereby protect his legacy and any Scandal. Also Elvis kept ALOT of secrets. The more I read about him the more I’ve learned about his layered lives and friendships. My research is predominantly with Elvis and the black community and how deep it ran and how rarely discussed it was. a lot of it is dismissed and ignored by the family, but it was well chronicled in some books and by various interviews from the 50s and 60s and is absolutely fascinating. Elvis legacy is so curated and skewed to the deferment of him being introduced properly to younger generations. I think Gene Smith, Elvis cousin who was his age knew A LOT. And he shared a lot but slot of it was removed before the publishing of his book sadly. But stories have tricked out here and there.

Lisa had Elvis’s Mouth and teeth but the rest of her face and hair are just like her Mothers. They had a beautiful daughter who is a mixture of the two. Well so did Lucy and Elvis. My parents had five children we all look different but have different mixtures of our parents so we do favor in something’s. There are other ways to verify paternity besides Billy, Jo and family. There are lots of Presley/Smith relatives still alive. Billy and Jo say "no" ... leave them alone help Lucy and Deserae find other DNA donors. A private detective could solve this quickly.

Regarding Ginger i have the opinion that Elvis was dating Ginger to get a fresh start. He did not want Linda Thompson to enherit his wealth. He was with Linda 4.5 years. Billy mentioned about common law status. I think he realized Linda was dating someone else. He wanted Lisa to get his wealth. I think that he was trying to make a fresh start with Ginger. There is a book called, 'Love Beads from Elvis' and 'My Diary and Elvis' by Kathy Tatum. You can read these two books and get more of an idea. I don't believe Elvis was careful at all. I don't think there was anything wrong in him being with this girl.

Wow! You read that book and didn't bother to research the dates? You know it's supposed to be a diary right? You know how much documented Elvis history is out there right. Here's one 'blinding' discrepancy' .....for instance - she claims to have been with him at the Howard Johnson's hotel when he was ACTUALLY recoding in Nashville and had to stop because of pains in his eye - he spent several days in hospital and had Barbara Leigh with him. He spent time recuperating at Graceland after being released from hospital and Joyce Bova came to stay. But Katy Tatum babbles on and one about how 'they' spent time together going to the Memphian and the Harward Johnsons, completely oblivious to real Elvis history.

many facts in Last Train To Memphis about those years, and he was very much a shy young man who stayed around his home. DNA from a cousin is not the same as parents - its much more diluted so probably would not help.
