The date of Elvis's Hope,Arkansas show and his 1954 Cadillac burning up is June 7,1955. June 5th was a Sunday. Earlier in the day,Lura Mae Impson drove Elvis & The Jim Ed Brown Trio from KOSY radio in Texarkana,AR to her husband's(Thompson) DX filling station in Hope,AR. Later that day Thompson brought over Watermelons.This is now known as the Elvis Presley Watermelon party. I asked a family member and the gas station was always closed on Sundays. Love this channel,keep doing what you're doing.

Yes, to continue the tour Elvis and the boys needed a new car to drive, so the 1955 Ford Victoria was brought in from Memphis.

@@carsofelvis Do you have any idea where the 1955 Fairlane ended up? Here is an article from 2007 " The Malibu wildfire that has ripped through homes and businesses has also claimed a large collection of Elvis Presley memorabilia. Castle Kashan, a landmark in the star-studded down, was burned to the ground along with several dozen of Elvis' original movie scripts. The scripts reportedly had hand-written notes in the margins. Lilly Lawrence, the owner of the castle, said she was only able to grab his Army uniform before flames overtook the 10,500-square-foot mansion. Also lost were several of Elvis' original song sheets and his vintage Ford Fairlane." Was this his 1955 Ford Fairlane we are talking about?

@@franksamillion Wow, interesting article Frank! i wish I knew what happened to Elvis' 1955 Fairlane. Your idea sounds very plausible though since I believe he didn't own another Ford Fairlane than the 1955. This story sure needs more investigation! I'll see what I can find out. If you do find out more about this case, please let me know. Thanks.
