I saw him in Manhattan on the Hudson River venue outdoors in NYC in 1981. Long since gone. Only a few thousand people. It was a great concert. I wish I still had the tank top t-shirt I bought. I first heard "My funny Valentine" by a street singer at Washington Square Park in the West Village of NYC. It is surrounded by buildings owned by NYU which I attended.

@@AroncareThank goodness for KZbin on that front, am I right?! I’m 50 and I still have my mixed cassette tapes that I made by keeping a blank in my radio and once you hear the first note of a song you like, quickly hitting the record button! The best was when the DJ would tell you what was coming up. Then a station in my area came out with ‘Rock Block Weekends’. It started after 5pm on Fridays and go straight through till Sunday night where they’d play 3 songs in a row from the same artist. That would fill up a blank so fast! 😂 Damn! This comment was about avoiding nostalgia and there I go getting waist deep in it! 🤣😂
