I heard the audible and read the book 📖 and I’m in shock 😳 how this woman was to her daughter Lisa. She showed no empathy for her daughters grief of losing her daddy, did not protect her daughter from her promiscuous boyfriend Mike Edwards from sexual/physical/emotional abuse, it’s very clearly stated in Lisa’s own words in the book, this is not an exaggeration, I wish it was 😢 Obviously Priscilla hadn’t read the book when she went on stage with Riley to tell her little stories about Lisa… Priscilla where is your moral compass!!! I’m sure if Elvis knew this happened to his precious daughter he would not allow Priscilla to be buried at Graceland. I’m sure Elvis is turning in his grave 😢

Good points here but remember Priscilla was bitter and vindictive. I don't think Priscilla likes Navarone either. Priscilla probably pictured herself as a glamorous and talented actress living in Hollywood with Elvis and her and Elvis as a "power couple". Elvis probably pictured Priscilla as a wife and mother in Memphis Tennessee. This is what happens to couples when they have very different goals! THEN DON'T GET MARRIED!! 😮😮

@@angelavasco5670 There is an old saying "there is a book inside everyone". I'm guessing that Lisa didn't waste her time - she probably wanted to get her side out there. I noticed that the media didn't cover the reviews of her book. None of the talk shows dealt with it either. There was some talk however of Sciencetology hushing this book up. Hmmm. Poor Lisa all she went through - I won't read it because it's too heart breaking. Very sad 😢😢. RIP Lisa.

Reading the book is heartbreaking and to hear how much Lisa missed her dad and in turn resenting her mum for literally blackmailing her into doing things so she could still go back to Memphis to see her friends and family!! There are so many “ what ifs” you could say and I think if Elvis had lived he would definitely have changed Lisa’s life for the good but that’s just another “ what if “ ! Love watching your views on the book and your channel xx

The first thing I noticed was how Riley called him Elvis. Sorry to say that she seems so cold and distant (she's very nice, but very distant). A few years ago I read that when EPE was sold, Ben said that he wanted to buy something of his GRANDDAD'S, which I thought was so sweet. Lastly, if you listen to any LMP interview, she didn't call Elvis, dad. Most of the time she simply said "he" or "him". Rarely, if ever, did I hear her say my dad.

Not sure how you feel about LT, but In the back of my mind, I cannot help but wonder if the reason Elvis stayed with Linda T. (just one woman) 24/7 for a year was to show that he could have a "stable relationship" while going through the divorce so that he could get joint custody. (Surely, his attorneys advised him to be cautious during this time period.) Not long after his divorce was finalized, Sheila R. enters the picture. I think Elvis always took Lisa into consideration in his decisions.

It has some heavy duty rock stars in it like Bruce Springstein and the lead singer fro the Smashing Pumpkins. And of course "she who shall not be named" got her narrow ass in it. Graceland Mansion was probably just a free for all and the Memphis Mafia members were high maintenance for Elvis too. Elvis was supposed to show Lisa manners and guidance and maturity for her future. Lisa seemed to be out of control and very bossy. 😮😮. I have watched all your videos for years, and for real You are my favorite Elvis KZbinr, after Jaime Kay but she passed away at 42 years old...anyways...i wanted to tell you, i watched the 2 hour and 11 minute video (I am glad you are doing re-cabs)....but to get to my point, i KNOW you love music, especially Elvis music and you are into the details, like me and many Elvis fans, that is why you buy the FTD (follow that dream)...to get every word from Elvis....but this Lisa Marie/Riley book is so emotional...and i just keep thinking, since you were there at LMP's funeral, and you have made sooo many Elvis videos, you must feel like, a kinship to Elvis or Lisa Marie, as do many Elvis fans... but you David, are more than just a fan...you are. But as i know you probably do not habe much free time, in the LMP/ Riley book, Riley said LMP cried in her bedroom listening to her dad's music...and Lisa would ask her dad to sing "Hurt" and another song, so i bet Lisa cried listening to Elvis 70's concerts that she went to. You ande both love listening to and watching Elvis in Concert, the last concert, i have a feeling the Live Elvis concert of Elvis singing "Can't Help Falling In Love"....reminded Lisa of Elvis singing to her in her bedroom. And also...Riley said Pink Floyd's "The Wall" was an anthem for LMP....you should listen to The Wall from LMP perspective...."snap shots from the family album"....every song from Pink Floyd's the wall...which came out in 1979...i can see why Lisa related. I will never listen to The Wall in the same way....every song....i can see why Lisa liked it. As Always David, great video...and thank you for all you do!!!! God bless you buddy!!

No, that was pretty much gloss over in this book. Not much time given to that.

Can we talk about when Lisa said my dad waited until my mom was 18 before they had sex. Priscilla was not a virgin on her wedding night??

Love Elvis the entertainer, but Elvis the man was a very complex, flawed individual. He surrounded himself with sycophants and hangers on who would agree with everything he did and said. This is classic needy and narcissistic behavior (sound familiar) typical of vulnerable and needy personally types.

But the main thing is he loved his daughter and she loved him
