Few, if any, figures in rock and roll history are as timeless - or controversial - as Elvis Presley. Both a rebel and a heartthrob, Elvis changed the way the world thought about music, pop culture, and celebrity. Here's what the last concert of Elvis' life was like.

He made this his final farewell because the CIA recruited him under a new alias to help fight crime. From what i last dug into, he was living in the suburb hills of Hollywood or LA. Though you wont find much info these days since most of the leaks were removed

@@Drago_San I saw a Documentary a couple years ago called Elvis Found Alive Wich claimed to show the Real Elvis telling his True Life Story in wich he did say he Faked his Death to be a Cia Agent Fighting Crime under a Fake Name as You said. I don't know if it's a Real Documentary or if any of the info in it is true but I do think it's weird that in the official credits of the Documentary on imdb it lists the Name Jon Burrows as the Voice of Elvis and Jon Burrows is Elvis Presleys Alias Name he used when he wanted to be Anonymous.

Yeah i have the audio from that final show hearing those words makes me very sad. It feels like the last 3 songs he sang in that show Hurt, Hound Dog, and Can't Help Falling in Love he was emptying his gas tank.

Elvis did not leave the building that night. JD said in an interview that he returned to his dressing room behind the stage. Elvis called JD back there to talk to him. He asked him to come to Graceland because he wanted to discuss something with him. Unfortunately JD never made it there so he never knew what that was that Elvis wanted to talk about. 💔😔

Elvis has left the building STARTED When Elvis would finish at the Louisiana Hayride and continued When He Did Vegas and Other Concerts -- Have you not seen TTWII - That's The Way It Is - And EOT - Elvis On Tour 1972 - When He'd finish a concert - It was Elvis's getaway while he was actually leaving the property because fans would run after him -- Same as at the Hayride

I attended the last show. Most people are confused thinking the concert on TV was his last show. It wasn’t, it was two show recorded just Pryor to that. And he said, may God bless you, adios at the end of every performance. It was unusual, however, for him to introduced so many people right before his last song. I had never seen that before and I had seen a total of 24 shows all together. I miss him so very much. he was an awesome entertainer.

Thank you, thank you very much for sharing that, I’m 60, years old, I love the Beatles to the Sex Pistols, and Elvis Presley is the king of them all, was it 1968 TV special, do you want to talk about prime, No one could sound or look better, I think Elvis was far cooler than even Keith Richards, at that time could ever be, and Richers is super cool, so that’s a major compliment🥰

Correct. The part where he introduced the band members was a truly unusual occurrence, however he did say “until we meet again, may god bless you, adios” at the end of every performance on this tour.

My entire family, myself included are Elvis fans. My daughter is 22 years old and she absolutely loves him, she and her "pop" whom is my father would listen to Elvis all the time. My father had the privilege of metting Elvis in the 60's while Elvis was in Florida filming the movie FOLLOW THAT DREAM. My father was in the excavation business and was just starting and fresh out of high school. My father helped fill in the marsh wetlands to make a beach for the movie. My father said Elvis was an absolutely amazing man. My dad also described Elvis as a very respectful, humble, polite and down to earth individual...a true southern gentleman.. My dad has passed on now but he would always say that Elvis presley will not ever be replaced in his lifetime.. My father was right. I myself will never see Elvis replaced. I saw Elvis in concert at I0 years old and at 12 years old. I saw him at HAMPTON RDS. Coliseum in VA. He often introduced his people to the audience. I was there and I saw it and heard it. Even as a child I thought that was a truly wonderful thing to do. The older I got the more I realized that him doing that was part of his appreciation to give the members of his band and the orchestra their credit for how awesome they performed and him showing his appreciation and putting the spotlight on them many times. I loved it when he did that. You could see in his eyes and his face how he was in awe of their talent. He also allowed solos for some of them. Was it J.D. Sumner with the real low voice range that he often gave him solos to sing? He was in awe of how low of range that the man could go to. Do you know the story about the SWEET INSPIRATIONS??? One of the arenas that he was performing at didn’t want to allow them in because they were a different skin color!!! Elvis said NO Way!!!. You don’t let them in I don’t perform!!! Also if I remember correctly when he was in an open vehicle that same day riding around The arena he made them let the INSPIRATIONS WONDERFUL BACK UP SINGERS RIDE AROUND IN THAT VEHICLE in that ARENA WITH HIM!!! I loved that !! He showed them that he would not have anything to do with racism!!! I admired him so much for him standing up for that equality ❣️❣️❣️ I remember also JAMES BURTON I BELIEVE WAS HIS LEAD GUITAR DOING SOLOS!!! Elvis was amazed by his talent also!!!❤️❤️❤️

Goodness. I was doing Yr.11 as a Mature Age Student. Determined to get somewhere in my life, having made the mistake of leaving school to soon ... I was driving to school when it came over the Radio Elvis had died. I'd been the right age to have grown up when he was the King. Now it was over. Without Elvis there would have been No Kingdom for Michael Jackson to have Enjoyed. I'm sure Elvis must know we're still enjoying his music in the next Century . I was thinking about his movie " A change of Habit" .only the other day ! ... Catchy title I was thinking. Wise words to all !

Yes It was appropriate for his elegy to end with “Elvis has left the building”. It’s a tear jerker of the first order. I’ve been watching all things Elvis since his morphic reincarnation through Austin Butler. A stellar performance and I’m thankful that they made a production that dives deeply into his soul. And Austin was a godsend in his determination and drive to get Elvis to inhabit his body for at least a little while, so the world could pay tribute and again be reminded of Elvis’ unprecedented contributions to music and performance, love and humanity. Unfortunately, a movie doesn’t capture enough time to really do justice to such a cultural hero and driving force for racial recognition and equality. A well placed and conscientious protester. If only more people were actually listening with their ears. But he did more than anyone in our history to try to do not only a sexy, sensuous presentation - glory hallelujah - but to pursue Justice. What a gem - Luhrmanns intro to the movie approaches his illustrious persona. Love you, El I wish I’d been born a few years earlier so I could have presented you on or off stage with a “bowl full of cherries”. ❤

Elvis had breathing difficulties his whole life. A voice teacher worked with him trying to help him with his breathing. His voice didn’t need help but taking deep breaths was important for him as with most singers. If you watch the 68 comback special you’ll see him with breathing issues. Go to the out takes from 68 show, he stops and says I’m out of breath. He used a breather thing he carried in his pocket before going on stage. If you see the right before he goes on stage, you see him using his breather.

Sinatra and his Pack would like a word. But I get you. He blew up like no other and changed music forever. Still; Sinatra is the only one to have his picture hanging up next to the Pope for millions of Italian Grandmothers for decades lol. Both got famous young, served in the military, lost said fame, then slowly gained it back. I think they had more in common than we realize. Too bad Frank never really liked showing love to the generations of entertainers after him. Otherwise they might have really got on.

My Dad and Uncle were in the music business back in the 50's and 60's... they knew and had played with Elvis early in his career, but when they saw him in the late 60's (Elvis wanted to record one of their songs) .. they said he was so sad and truly unhappy by that point... he was still super kind and sweet to them, but dad said they felt sorry for him. The pressures and obligations on him had just wore him out... he was so isolated in his personal life.
