The richness of Elvis's voice is very evident for this performance. Beautifully sung and highly emotional.

I have not heard Elvis sing this song, thank you for posting the live performance. Elvis could sing such a wide variety of music and sound good performing each type. Gospel, Western< Rock and more, there will never be another Elvis.

Even though being a Jamaican, now living in the U.S., we grew up with American music. Reggae is recent. Elvis was one of the most listened artist. They were other people like, Jim Reeves, Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, Pat Boone, Charlie Pride, Brooke Benton, Manhattans, FourTops, Diana Ross, Diane Warrick and all those music in 60's and 70's. But Elvis was the man. Remember at the cinema, he was a sold out. Long Live The King.

Thanks Dani! "I'll Remember You" is one I've been requesting. As you mentioned, this was the first International hookup. I remember the warm reaction when Elvis landed. He was there to perform in Concert to raise money for Children. Jack Lord aka Steve McGarrett was in attendance as mentioned by Elvis during the Concert.

You have probably bring doing this for years Dani. So i apologise I came across your chanel a week ago. Even though I was 5_6 years when Elvis was big I sensed he was a force of nature. He always seemed to have a sense of fun but could turn it on when needed. I like your channel because sincerity is in very short supply..

Elvis had it all. Good voice good looks good charisma, skill and knowledge of what he was doing. Was there ever a better looking man? I have not seen one. Granted Jenson Ackles is probably the top nowdays, especially in Ukrain and Russia, and the Booth actor... is it Douglas Booth...very handsome but Elvis had that great smile and voice and sense of humor to go with it. I used to think In The Ghetto was his best song but now I like "If I Can Dream" better as it is cheerful.

People (45 years after he's gone) still call Elvis King of Rock'n roll, but he did not like that, he considerd that the only King was God, but I consider him to be the King of Music, but what do you think, is he good enough to be called a Music King? Here are some of his Gospel songs: Amazing Graze, Take me home precisous Lord, How great though art, You'll never walk alone, You gave me a mountin, Crying in the chapel, Why me Lord (written by Kris Kristofferson), Unchained melody, I'm not sure if it's a gospel song but Walk a mile in my shoes and many more... . If you prefer ballad songs then look at these: My Way, Suspicius minds, In the Ghetto (written by Mac Davies), Memories (written by Mac Davies), If I can dream that is a tribute (parts of it is taken directly from the I can dream speach by MLK) to Martin Luther King JR and senator Robert Kennedy, Walk a mile in my shoes, Make The World Go Away, Bridge Over Troubled Water, An American Thrillergy, Hurt, Sweet Caroline, Just Pretend, What now my love, Are you lonesome tonight (laughing versin, or not), Oh Danny Boy (for you Irish people) remember that he sang over 700 songs... There are some videos of when Elvis joking and messing up, he loved to joke around and pretend that he did not have control, but he had total control, he acctually conducted his musicans and back up choirs all the time !! He is the only person to have 2 records gone to sell Gold and 2 to to sell Platinum since he died. Elvis is also in almost every genre of Music Hall of Fame (5 that I'm sure of), no one else is in more then perhaps 2. Not bad for someone who never took a single singing lesson, yes he sang in church so perhaps he learned a little there, right? . Something else that people tend to overlook: He always conducts his musicans and backup singers, he never gets credit for being able to do that... Then imagen you are a singer, you have great musicans, you have great backup singers, no Guest Artists, no Autotune, no Lipsinging and no Fireworks, now all is about your skill, could you handle that pressure? That is what Elvis did in over 1000 concerts, despite having problems with his health, like his Glaucoma, the headlights must have hurt his eyes like crazy... He sang over 700 songs, I wonder how he could remember them all, he never vrote a song himself, so he had to remember other peoples songs, well that in it self is amazing in it self... By the way he had Glucomea and that must have been difficult being in the headlights all the time, that could be why he sometimes closes his eyes, but also sometimes squinting !! Elvis suits was made of 100% Polyester, or 100 cotton (I'm not sure witch one), it was originally a karate suit, it was very light, but it was hot, so it made him sweat a lot, he got some bad press about that, but if you give it all then you will sweat, it should be positive, right? About the deep basevoice JD Sumner (a member of The Stamps Quartet) is the Basso Profundo, I think that it's called that, it is the deepest base singer there is...

I love all Elvis reviews!!! I have stumbled on an accapella group called "Home Free." You need to check them out! Especially Tim Faust's rendition of "Won't you stay just a little bit longer" and Austin Butler's rendition of "When a man loves a woman" and his version of "Unchained Melody". The group as a whole are magnificent but Tim and Austin are incredible. Especially Tim who sings all the parts in his recording. Deep bass to high notes effortlessly. He has even blown the speaker out on several occasions.

@@kirsty-marie Nor do I but when I heard Elvis sing a song that was written many years after his death I had to learn how it was done. You love Elvis but not the sound, not his voice, but the person and that's okay, you will never hear it better than Doug Church did it, but he can also sound like Willie Nelson, kind of freaky when he switches from one person to another.
