@@ep4everlegend317 His separation was after this tour, she left him at the end of december '71. In febr '72 she told him about her affair with Mike Stone. It seems to me that affected him a lot. During the tour in april '72 he looked heavier, pale and much less energetic, as one can see in the Elvis on Tour movie. He sounded and looked better though in june '72 in MSG but things would start to fall apart soon after that.

At this point he’s been at this live performing for a solid two years and he’s starting to get burned out. The colonel treated him like a commodity and not as an artist. Elvis should’ve ventured into other musical projects including doing some movies again just to break up the routine.
