Whenever we do a video concerning the women in Elvis life it always throws up some unwanted derogatory comments..If you wish to express in such a manner than please comment elsewhere. You can always put across your comment respectfully and like an adult. We love a great debate . I hope everyone understands this..if not I will simply delete it and you. Take care folks😉

This absolutely crushed me this morning. Fame is such a thief, I say it all the time. As much as it gave him, it took just as much from him. He was meant to be the one, this we know….. No one knew at what cost. We love you EP and we will always remember. ❤

Well put about the price of fame. In Elvis case being trapped in his own prison so to speak, that loneliness and turning to prescribed medication to escape, it cost him his life way to early. I’m not saying anything bad about Elvis, I grew up listening to him and he is still my favorite and I a big fan. But having battled drug and alcohol addiction myself to hide and cover up my feelings, fears, etc. I know what that is like. I didn’t have the fame, just a normal person, but it took me several attempts to free myself from the addiction, but until it really became my idea and do it for myself and no one else, I couldn’t do it. But once that happened I walked in the rooms of an AA meeting and got honest with myself and with a lot of help from some of the old timers that I got close to, I was finally able to break those chains of bondage that was keeping my from stopping what I was doing. We another person that’s been there that knew what it was like and the help of GOD, I’m now be free since August 17th of 1998. I wish Elvis could have found those rooms like I did, but like I have already said he was in his own prison and couldn’t do things that us normal people take for granted. RIP - Elvis, we miss you!!!

@@1madlad I totally understand I have been surrounded by addiction my whole life with my closest family members. It effected our whole family unit and it has to be the readiness for the battle within yourself to fight it. Your mind being effected by chemicals becomes your worst enemy but you feel like the drug is your closest friend. Elvis suffered insomnia from his childhood and no sleep is not good for anyone so the need to take something to sleep and wake up became a vicious cycle and the uppers got stuff done when your body’s tired. Elvis’s pride was a factor too, he had to remain wholesome in the public eye until the ability to remain that way was no longer under his control. Thinking you are fooling the masses is the one part of an addiction that the addict themselves believes in my experience. I believe the level of fame some celebrities have especially Elvis doesn’t allow for an inner calm or peace that we all take for granted. I also lost my parents in my 20s and it changes you to the core, Elvis didn’t have an outlet to grieve his mother. Hell next week will be 19 yrs for me losing my parents and I still grieve. If you don’t have a supportive unit to be able to release that pain with, it sits deep within you. I’m sure in his quiet moments he still grieved for a time when life felt normal. I will never pretend to analyze Elvis Presley and what happened but I connect with his struggles very deeply and I love him harder for it. Thank you for sharing your story and I hope your path is one of continued strength and that you remain free of any obstacles in the future. 😊

@@aimeebrennan4861 You have been around it and see what it will do to you, a lot of people haven’t and the can’t understand it. It not only effects you, but everyone and your loved one’s. Like you I lost both of my parents at a young age, my mother early 20’s and my father in upper 20’s and like you I still think about them and miss them. But like most people that ends up with addiction, they started out slowly and gradually it started controlling them. I know I started in my teenage years, because I didn’t feel like I fit in and everyone wants to have some friends, because who wants to be alone. So I started with a little Pot and that lead to smoking it more. I remember one of my friends and were Hi and went to a party at the lake where most everyone was drinking but he and I, some people thought we were narc’s because we didn’t drink like they did, they didn’t know we probably felt a lot better than they did, and you would think someone would know you were doing something, like who wear mirror front sunglasses at night. Then came the cocaine and the pills. I really didn’t have a drug of choice mine was what have you got or what did I have. In my early 20’s, I had quit smoking Pot, it just wasn’t doing it for me anymore more. I don’t know what your beliefs are but I think GOD was taking care of this fool, I was doing good and excelling at my job, was never calling in sick or anything like that, so I guess you could say I was a functioning addiction during that time, but I worked night and became the lead person over the computer room and the operators, but a lot of those nights I was on something and would work that night and leave and stay up all day and be back in there at night. By that time I was mostly doing a lot of cocaine after a few days do downers and sleep a couple of days to recharge. I went on day and started working normal 5 days a week instead of 4 10 hour days, but it had me, I would keep in desk drawer in a small container, already all prepared so all I had to do, just open it and take a couple of bumps, I would have to go to a meeting or something and do a couple of bumps before I left my desk. It was for sure controlling me. I also a Waylon Jennings fan as well and one weekend I read a article in a magazine at my sister’s house, and he had kicked it, at that point It was getting to me and the feeling wasn’t the same, seeing shadow people as they call it, but his story stuck in my mind and gave me a little hope. I started trying to quit, with out any help or going to a treatment center, I slipped, I stumbled and I fell several times for over 6 months, but I finally quit that. In the late 80’s and it was again a GOD thing, shortly afterward is when drug testing started in the work place. I told you I never was a big drinker, but when you can live with yourself because you feel less that or just not happy, you will find a way to escape reality, so I started drinking a little, that took that edge off for a little bit, but just like the other things I had done, I had to have more and more of that, and I didn’t care for beer so I was on Jack the Black and that became just as bad, I would get off work and stop and get a bottle and it would do the trick, go home and drink until it was gone or I passed out, but it was mostly both, I would run out mostly then pass out. So in the end it was alcohol that got me to the point, that I had 2 choices kill myself or quit the drinking, I chose the second one, I not going to lie, I didn’t have the guts to kill myself even as bad as live was. I still had my job and was single and had nice things, but that doesn’t give you a piece of mind. About a year before the end, I knew I had a problem and I did go check out a few AA meetings, but would leave that and go get a bottle on the way home, but some of it got through to me and I didn’t know it. So when I hit that point of feeling like not living anymore, but not wanting to die, I told myself I going to try and go back to some meetings, because I heard my story in others there, so they may understand me, no one else does. I took my last drink on August 16th and when I left work on the 17th I went straight to a meeting at 6 o’clock and I was already at the point and had been for a while around 3 or 3:30, I would start getting the shakes because my body needed that drink. So when I got to that 6 o’clock meeting I was really shaking, one of the guys I met that night, we became friends and after six months with out a drink, I still shaking a little it was close to nine months we he told me he didn’t notice it anymore. He had be clean for years then and he always played with me about that, he said he had never seen anyone that still had some mild shaking after that amount of time with out a drink. But if it hadn’t been AA meetings to go to, I don’t think I would have made it, I was blessed to live in Memphis, there are groups meeting all times of the day and night, so for the first few years if I needed a meeting, I could go to one at 3:00 in morning, if I thought I needed to. For the first year I went to 2 a day during the week and 3 a day on the weekends. But I had to do, not to take that next drink. I don’t go as much anymore, but I keep in touch with people in recovery and if someone is ready and needs help, I’m there for them, I just keep it simple and one day at a time. I learned no to say Never, because most people that get that thought process going is to for a way from their next drink or drug. Have a good weekend.

I would like to add that he was after all only human with flaws that we all have. He brought so much joy to this sad old World while he was with us. He's still missed and loved for all the wonderful memories he left for us to cherish. My mother always taught me that if you can't say something nice about someone, then don't say anything at all. Thank you Elvis for everything you gave us of yourself!😘

Boy was he caught in a trap! There was no getting out of it. Linda did really care for him, it wasn't easy for her, she tried her best, helped him lots but you can't win over destiny. Elvis tried to lead a better life, I don't think that he wanted to be ill, but that was his path. Our paths in this life are already designated, we can't get out of that path, however hard we try, what is to be will be! Another lovely video! Love Elvis's voice whether he's singing or just talking, it sinks into the heart!! Thank you Scotty and Craig!

So sad! The words are as if you read Elvis's thoughts! I'm sure he felt lonely and defeated! He was very troubled and back in those days men couldn't express themselves! Perhaps if he was able to open up to someone about it, things may have turned out differently! He's finally at peace! Rest easy now Elvis, no more pain! ❤❤❤

She was good for him, loved him, cared for him. He seemed to crumble after Priscilla grew into her own and left. It seems she truly was the one woman he loved as much as he could in marriage, having been able to raise her, train her, mold her into what he needed from a woman at home. What a kind, lovely and yet too restless a spirit he was. 😢 But there has never been anyone who could stand up to his charisma, his voice-such magnificent voice, one of a kind, truly a God-given gift that was meant to be shared with others 🎶🎹🎸🎶🎵🏆🥇 There will always be only one Elvis, only one man God gifted with his special talents, a mixture of heart-felt Gospel, across the broad spectrum to not only a very sensual, deeply touching ballads that he gifted us with as he grew into h is second act, post military, '68 compact on❤❤ He began with with such a meteoric rise no one knew what just happened, and then he grew into the deeper sensual, vocal quality-how many who appreciate the breadth and fulness of true vocal talant could deny the strong and very special affect Elvis had on them. RIP, finally at rest.

This brought me to 😭 I think he really regretted the breakup with Linda. But he had such a fear of commitment, and just followed his pattern of moving on to the next one. He built an emotional prison around himself and didn't know how to get out. We always think of the what ifs when it comes to Elvis. What if he stuck to his firing of Parker. What if he committed himself to Linda. I think if he did those 2 things the drug situation would've taken care of itself. The guys said when they went to Hawaii he would be almost completely off the drugs and was relaxed and happy. As soon as they got back it started up again, and we know Parker overcommitted him to perform. He masked his unhappiness with the drugs. He wanted more children but Pricilla refused to have anymore. In the first part of his relationship with Linda she wanted marriage and children he didn't. But she said he was talking about it before she left, but his drug use was so bad she didn't want that anymore. She didn't want to be there while he destroyed himself. Linda took the best care of him out of all the ones he was with, and was the best fit. So sad.😢

Linda was of the few people close to Elvis that didn’t turn on him. She’s said he was her one true love, she couldn’t live with his self destroying habit. She saved Elvis’s life many times, she said it was like being a Mother caring for an infant child. I think Linda was the best thing that happened to Elvis during the separation and divorce. I wish Elvis would have listened to Linda’s plea to quit his drugs.

It's a sad thing to have unrequited love... I think that Elvis was lost in the deepest part of his soul...the women he left in his wake...were a time of contemplation and soul searching. I don't think he knew himself enough to know what he wanted! It's very sad! When he lost his mother, the image of love died with her...RIP Elvis!!

Elvis always wondered why he lived and his twin brother Jessie Garon didn't 😢 Elvis would always ask what his purpose in this world was and why God had chosen him. Well Beautiful Elvis, now you know...R.I.P. ❤

Although his and my worlds were far apart I know how he felt as I feel like this too and its a horrible place to be. Searching and reaching out for love and it isnt there. Like Elvis said You could be in the middle of a crowd and youre alone. Im still living with it and dont know what to do. I have given up and I can understand why he gave up... at least I hope he is at peace.

Just like Priscilla he loved Linda deeply and also didn't want her to leave. It devastated him losing her. But he couldn't help himself, really couldn't help him self.💔💔💔💔💔💔💔

@Maaike van Broekhoven * Linda didn't leave Elvis. He left her. He was already cheating on her and flew in another woman to Las Vegas, suggesting to Linda that she take the plane back to Memphis to "visit her parents". Linda did fly back and her father helped her move out of Graceland. She knew it was over. It's all in Linda's book.

@@ihatechange Linda loved Elvis so much that she cheated on him with one of his friends. Elvis lived strictly by the common law marriage laws we had back then. Five yrs together and you were considered married. Elvis may have cared for Linda but the love of his life was Priscilla. Elvis wanted a virgin bride and he had one in Priscilla . He was devastated when she left him.Linda , Ginger and all other women knew they were just a stand in for Priscilla. He died loving her and she'll die loving him.

@@janetbrowntlc Linda said on a talk show she was a virgin when she meet Elvis. Her word's Elvis was her 1st in everything. Elvis only wanted virgin's. And no kid's. Only his daughter Lisa Marie. He couldn't be with women who were mother's.... Mother I truly think his true love was Ann Margaret. Lol but what do I know or anyone ... Only one that knows / knew was / is GOD AND ELVIS 🙏💯

@@janetbrowntlc Elvis cheated every woman of his life. Stop thinking that Priscilla has been so different in his life only because she managed to have a ring around her finger. Elvis relationships lasted just 3/4 years and he had always others in the meanwhile.

what a beautiful video - Linda was important in his life and I'm sure he loved her in his own way but he just couldn't stay faithful to anyone in his life. Was surprised when he got rid of her and moved Ginger in - if Linda had been there on that fateful day would he be alive today - something we will never know 🎶🎧🎵💙🎤

Elvis was overworked too many years and was exhausted yet kept performing which led to uppers and downers to keep the shows going He was giving bro people he didn’t even know and the ones who knew him used him I feel his Mama was the only one he could really trust and when she passed that was it for ElVIS 😢 Miss him so
