I miss music like this. It was about being in love and how it made you feel, not simply about getting in someone's pants and being done with them. It was great. +Wednesday Adams Michael did not pave the way for anything or anyone. Everything was paved for him in 1983 with Elvis, The Beatles, James Brown, The British Invasion and MoTown Records. Michael did not pave the way for anything. He was the greatest artist of his generation but he did not break any barrier. They had to make up that MTV wouldn't play his music videos because he was black to try and make Michael's story interesting but that turned out to be a flat out lie because MTV played his music videos more than anyone. Michael innovated music videos, but that's pretty much the only "innovation" he did. He was a terrific artist but don't make it seem like he was anything else.
