🎵Hi Damian, really enjoyed this video. It has inspired me to get into rockabilly guitar so much I'm gonna learn this tune for my band here in Salisbury, England, UK. I have a question: Can you recommend an inexpensive delay pedal for live use to get that fabulous Scotty Moore sound you have? Really love that Joe Pass Epiphone guitar you use here too! A beautiful guitar in an inspirational video! Thankyou so much for posting this excellent tutorial! 👍👍🎵

@Damianblf2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. I plan on doing the second solo. The version of Hound Dog on Scotty's album "The Guitar That Changed the World" you can make out what he is paying more clearly. The problem on the original recording is that its very hard to hear what he's playing. But I'm not sure if even Scotty remembered exactly what he played on that recording session in 56. :)

Damien is a great guitar player and a nice comment enthusiastic guy. But his lessons unfortunately are a joke. He literally spent 4/5 of this video talking about himself and his products and 1/5 on the solo itself, which he went through only once. There are far far better videos to help people learn this great solo, because people take the time to go slowly and to explain the tricky parts in detail. Damian is a great showman, but he's definitely not a teacher. I'm actually reluctant to say this because he seems like a good guy. But maybe he will read my comment and decide to actually teach in the future.
