I love the sensitivity of your reactions. So heart-felt. An insensitive person could never understand Elvis.

I love this song. In all its glorious simplicity. Elvis' voice is so powerful and yet soft at the same time. You're right on point, his voice was a chorus of one. I cannot believe it's been 47 years since his passing. I sincerely hope wherever he is right now, he's aware of the legacy he left behind.

Perfect description that he seems as if more than one person is singing. Maybe we're hearing him and his soul. Thank you. 👑

I felt the loneliness in his voice. So warm...rich...full...passionate no other singer makes me cry .... the emotion I hear in his voice with so many of his ballads feels overwhelming sometimes and the tears just flow. I don't even try to stop them...I just make sure kleenex is nearby. Thank you for reacting to this powerful song....as always, Elvis sings it with all his heart and soul. Beautiful ❤

I've never heard a voice that "bleeds" like that. Or a voice "of many persons", like you said. That's why Elvis touches my like nobody else. Every note matters. Emotion or soul, call it what you want. He had it in an abundance like no one else.

Wow! you have great insight dear boy - straight from your heart and so so true. Elvis Presley singing with such sweet deep emotion with his powerful voice and his angelic beauty just sends shivers through your soul and it is out of this world ! .Elvis makes the songs he sings his own and feels them deeply - so that once he sings it you do not want to hear it from anyone else anymore.! I think at times that he was lent to us from Heaven for a while and then taken back. Thank You so much for honoring Elvis the way you do with your gentle kind and honest reactions.

I can listen to Elvis singing the same song a hundred times (& more), & it’s always fresh & new for me, as if I’m hearing him sing it for the very first time. There are so many nuances to his voice, that it is like hearing more than one singer singing it. Elvis has been gone now for 47 years, but to me he is still alive, & I only have to listen to him singing, & I can remember when I was a young adult, & he was still performing live on stage.

The great country star Hank Williams, wrote and sang this. You have to wonder why Elvis selected this song, maybe it was shortly after his divorce, anyway as I have often said about Elvis real talent is being about to sell what you feel. Thanks great reaction

He did this song because he loved Hank Williams. It was also a song that almost anyone anywhere knew and recognized.

@@emerald1805I agree. Everyone tries to reconnect every sad song of that period to the divorce (that took place later in October). He had always loved that type of song, even since the fifties. 😂 I always thought his sense of loneliness was much deeper than "I miss a specific woman"

Elvis actually only did live versions of this song, he never recorded it in the studio. And to do a song to perfection live is so much harder than in a studio with many takes, many traks (today autotune and voice enhancements) !

Elvis was very influenced by early Country and by Hank Williams, who wrote and had the hit with it. For a live worldwide broadcast, it was a song that almost the entire audience would recognize and know. At the time, it was expected you would do some ‘standards’ besides just your own hits. *edit- If you think Elvis has a lot of emotion on this - you should hear the Hank Williams original!

🌿🌹🌿🌹🌿🌹🌿🌹🌿🌹🌿🌹🌿 Hi Kings, I just wanted to tell you, you are a truly Beautiful Human, and I Appreciate you and your thoughtful observations so much. I Love Your Elvis Reactions ! ♥️ It's rare to hear a man allow himself to be vulnerable in today's world, but Elvis sang many songs like that. Unfortunatly, some of his best songs are rarely heard, because there are no filmed preformance's, or the best version is on an album. Here are a few you may also like. He's been playing this for years at home planning to record it Sometime. This night, and understanding the magic of the moment, producer Felton Jarvis turns on the tape machine... 🌿🌹🌿🌹🌿🌹🌿🌹🌿🌹🌿🌹🌿
