@@realworkoutsforrealpeople5041 The world is fortunate that the 68 Comeback went ahead because the idiot manager PArker wanted to stop it every step they wanted to include in it. He got funding for Elvis's last film and in return he was just going to have Elvis singing 20 Christmas songs Fortunately the director and producer persuaded him to let it go ahead, WATCH ''The Gates of Graceland, Secrets of the 68 Special'' and see how obnoxious Parker really was. He had Elvis back most of the time..

Sometimes I wonder if God gave Elvis his voice for us people on Earth. There is something biblical and pure about Elvis's voice; and add to that, no artist, past, present, or future has come close to having that god-like voice. Elvis was a gift from God.

I’m 60 years old and I’m from Switzerland (Lucerne), I’ve been listening to Elvis since I was 10 years old, I watched Elvis' live concert in Hawaii in 1973. I appreciate many kinds of good music, I also know all the songs of Johnny Cash and June Carter (Great) and other great artists. However, Elvis remains the greatest musician and entertainer of all time, but in all his songs, all the power of his soul comes out. One could also say that he gave his whole heart to his listeners. This way is definitely unique and I think it will remain so.. Denis Herger

Norm C That's probably right, but in that scene singing this song in his 68 Comeback Special he plays the electric guitar, so it's not unplugged. Singing other songs in that Special he did playing unplugged concert guitar. In that moment it's an unplugged song. But not the whole Comeback Special was an unplugged concert. KING ELV1S!

You may would find some at the hometown store that the owner had no clue as to why it was shipped.... Instead, you heard the music on a small mono radio, am station..... With MJacksons period, music was widely available and accepted ... There's 0 comparison. Elvis is the King!!

There is a book over 300+ pages called The Best of Elvis: Reflections of a Great Humanitarian by Cindy Hazen & Mike Freeman, it tells the story. He Donated the funds to have ST Jude built so every child with Cancer gets free treatment - even today, He bought LBJ's presidential yacht and auctioned to fund ST Jude, He donated the money to complete The Kennedy Art & Music Center in memory of JFK and declined to be the first to play as the founding member because he didn't want to seem political, donated the funds for the USS Arizona in Hawaii to remember all the lives lost on DDay, ended the Polio Epidemic inspiring 86% of America's youth, He funded 500,000 European Refugees food, housing & relocation via Red Cross Donations. He funded an entire trauma wing at Midsouth memorial so 4 states had a Trauma one care, donated 300+ Cadillac alone, 300+ brick homes, thousands of funerals, chemo treatments, millions of individual gifts of Jewelry, clothes, instruments, animals, make a wish were at every concert, hospital visits, spent every night outside his home in Memphis, Beverly Hills & LA signing autographs, in 1950's he even let fans that came from out of town CAMP ON HIS LAWN IN TENTS, He bought his childhood home in Tupelo and built a childs recreation center for poor kids, He signed autographs and gave fans tours at all the movie studios, concerts for Cancer fundraising, hurricane & tornado relief every year from 1956-77, donated to the same 55 MAJOR charities since the year he signed his 1956 contract even now every year 45yrs after his death. He gave away 86% of his ENTIRE lifetime GROSS earnings! Never wrote one donation off on his taxes despite being in the 95% income bracket. Giving was his tithing for Jesus. He said the more he gave, the more God blessed him.

'68 Comeback was the BEST & Last original Elvis. LOVE the more bluesy songs he did, like his. So raw & real here. The ONLY male performer to always send shivers up and down my arms. Those people in THAT audience were soooooo blessed to be there for that!!!!

If you listen really close to the manner he was hitting the notes on this song it was just amazing. Whether it was in front of 5000 people or the 3rd sold out Madison Square Garden show in front of 18k people he was never cautious with his voice and always went all out giving it all he had. In doing so he kept his vocals strong over the years and they just kept improving over time.

All our favorite “cool” heroes were from roles they played in movies but this is really Elvis in real life. No movie role or acting. This is really how he looked, talked, played guitar, dressed and sung. Somebody was literally this ridiculously cool in real life.
