I grew up listening to On Stage! You hardly hear Elvis music anymore, but Burning Love is played every now and then. Nice to see your records!

The live albums are so good, Elvis’ natural home was on that stage. I have so many variations of all the official releases, including some very strange ones. I do wish that Back In Memphis had been released on its own. It’s a fine album but totally overshadowed by the live half.

Elvis in concert.. some of his best performences.. My Way. And i love you so. How Great Thou art. I do not know why they left Unchained Melody off the album.

The Elvis in concert wasn't his last concert. That was a round a week later in Indianapolis which wasn't recorded. Thanks for the video enjoyed watching 😊

A great collection I do not have any of the new ones on vinyl yet. A nice little box set to get is The 5 cd original album series on cd that includes The 68 Special Aloha From Hawaii On Stage That's The Way It Is and Recorded Live On Stage In Memphis. A great budget way of getting Elvis Live albums. A fun fact Aloha From Hawaii shared The Top 3 spot in the USA with Pink Floyd Dark Side Of The Moon.

Good review of all those live albums. My own preference is the studio albums because I love the image of Elvis singing a song over and over until he gets it perfect in his mind. Which is why I enjoy outtakes. But for his live appearances I would rather watch a DVD of him singing, and seeing the reaction of the audience, and the way his back up band and singers follow his every move. Having said that, I do enjoy the live albums

Hello Mark I agree about using a 1977 image on Elvis in concert Also think unchained melody should have been on it too, I know it was on moody blue but I still think it should have been included

That is a fantastic album, I have it, but it is a bootleg, so fairly rare. Not sure if FTD or one of the other new mobs have or will in future, produce it.

as a newbe elvis fan which live albums (cds) would you suggest? i just bought the elvis memphis box set and now want more in excellent sound and form.... i mean if it were you which say 3 live albums would you buy. Finally, do they have any live albums from the 1950's in excellent sound? i know the 1961 show Hawaii was taped but have never heard it. . thank you my freind. glen from canada

I have the bootleg of the 1961 Hawaii USS Arizona benefit concert, it is fabulous. I think FTD have produced it on CD.

@@Patracat wonder where i can buy it? what is FTD mean? i wouldent mind even a copy of that hawaii show. Also, which LIVE show from say the 60's or 70's would you suggest? i prefer not so much the rock and roll when he moves into the later years but rather, the softer nicer tunes he covers..... any help would be apreciated. thanks, glen

@@truebeatlepeople FTD stands for Follow That Dream, which (apart from being one of Elvis' films) is a company who produces new versions of Elvis' music and films. Mark has some videos on this channel about them. The 1961 Hawaii Concert CD I have in my collection isn't an FTD release, it is an MRS (Memphis Recording Service) release, called "Elvis, One Night in Pearl Harbor". Try looking on Amazon or eBay. As for the best live albums, I can only suggest to be guided by Mark's videos on this channel as he is more knowledgeable than me about those.

@@truebeatlepeople I typed a reply to this on my ipad but it doesn't seem to have got here. Short answer - MRS produced a CD of Elvis One Night at Pearl Harbor which is the soundboard of the 1961 Benefit concert.
