Great performance!! Even though Elvis’s voice was a bit tired at times he was in great spirits during this show, and you can really hear his vocals shine through, on awesome versions of hurt and how great thou art, the KING!!

He was soo funny and down to earth, and very humble! He treated his audience-fans like family,,,actually he really felt that way about us! I wish I could have seen him in person! They say the sound was unbelievable! Thank you,I so enjoyed this!

He was sooo funny and down to Earth...he talked to his audience like they were family, and could have canceled but cared about them enough to go on and was a good sport! He was a funny man , very good personallity! He said after many concerts especially mid 70s' that he enjoyed working for them! Very humble! His vocals were sooo good also!

Lucy, that tells me you have some class unlike the video that has now hit YT called "we sold our souls"..Red & Sonny West, even the band leader, the Stanley step brothers & I don't remember who else, I made a comment about them, clicked off the video and left. They did refer to Larry Geller & his book; I haven't read it but did watch an interview with him which was nothing like they said his book was. I literally got sick to my stomach & didn't even go half way through the disgusting thing. Fans, though we all love him, some have put him so high up on a pedestal they forgot he is, after all, human & our desire to have so much of him all the time created the lifestyle he had to live.

its hard to imagine how he could forget lyrics and arrangements to songs he'd sung so many times in the studio and on stage. Was it the medication? Really, can only have been... he was resorting to written lyrics for many familiar songs by this time
@marcoruiz30294 жыл бұрын
Maybe, but as far as I could hear, Elvis was talking to the audience and accepcting requests and he picked up "Sweet Caroline". This was a regular song was in Elvis concerts in 1970 and 1971. It was performed a few times on Jan/Feb 1973 and rarely in the later years. For me, it is acceptable to forget the lyrics in some part of the songs. Best Regards

I believe he was depressed during this time in his life; you would be surprised how depression can effect memory and self esteem which may also have been the reason he was relying on cheat notes

Concordo...é muito importante para nós, que não falamos inglês. Tenho a maior curiosidade de saber o que Elvis fala de tão engraçado.
