Por otra parte según Riley es la historia escrita por su madre con toda la sinceridad hablando obviamente de la relación entrañable con su padre, la difícil relación que tenía con su madre. Obviamente también hay un capítulo dedicado a Michael Jackson. Lo viste también verdad? Priscilla se acercó a Lisa Marie después de años de indiferencia y ahora hace lo mismo con Riley. Hi Dave, Thanks for your comment (and compliment :-) ! I agree with you that A.I. can work as a positive...when it is done right! From what I heard the company that is working on the Elvis A.I. is the same as the one that did ABBA. I did not hear any negative things from the ABBA fans, so I guess they know what they are doing. For now we just have to be patient and wait till November... But it already looks like 2024 is going to be a much better year compared to 2023 (...'cause that was just not a good year for Elvis and his fans). Dave till next month ! Hi Gloria, I too am very curious about Lisa's book. She was not a public person and cared about her privacy. This is the first time she is going to tell her story. I am very curious about what she writes about her affair with Michael Jackson and about her (complicated) relationship with her mother. If they really did not talk to each other for 7 years I wonder why Riley would grant Priscilla to be buried at Graceland. If Lisa was alive today it would not happen. The question is though, if the book will be heavily edited to suit what makes Priscilla look good in light of the deal she's made with Riley, and the fact that those two are making a point of putting up a united front. It seems strange to me that Lisa was recording so much material for years, and working with a writer, yet the book is only 300 pages long! Considering all her stories about her father, her battles with her mother, her first marriage, her turbulent time with Michael, what she went through losing Ben, etc., it just doesn't seem possible that all that amounts to only 300 pages. And then the latest drama on Instagram makes me think that there's something going on that fans would not like.

I love your new intro, Emiel, well made! The trivia question about whose voice it is, I believe it to be The Killer’s, named Jerry Lee Lewis! And about IA, I was never able to watch the real Elvis onstage, I was just too young at the time, and I just don’t like impersonators. I always thought the closest I would ever come to watching Elvis live was the Elvis virtual concert with the TCB Band that I attended in 1997, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2007, but… I will give this IA Elvis concert the benefit of doubt, I will give it a try for sure!

Sounds like Jerry Lee Lewis at the end. Also, I am glad Baz did confirm officially that he would do the extended version of the movie. My guess is that being more episodic, the extended version will be more fleshed out, so there probably won’t be as much of the spectral that was in the movie. It’ll probably be more of a straight story. Which that would be okay with me.

Fantastic news report, loving the new set, and the intro . outro are awesome, great work by everyone involved. I am so excited for the AI concert scheduled for end of 2024, some people have mixed views but I think if it is handled with care it could prove to be another major boost in the Elvis journey, similar to what we experienced in 2022 with The Elvis Movie. I hope to catch it in Berlin. I also am looking forward to the Lisa Marie book, I think it may answer a lot and provide her a voice through Riley's efforts. There are so many billboard charts I can no longer keep up, but I had seen the rankings around Christmas and I shared and annoyed so many with the details, Elvis can still set new records. I also heard the Dionne Warwick story a few years ago and read it somewhere in a book, so with her also putting this event forward, I would assume it is genuine and so like Elvis to do. Graceland has made a number of blunders on other things over the years, not surprised they did with the acetate too, they have uploaded songs to the Elvis Presley KZbin site with factually incorrect info, which saddens me to think they are not taking enough care. The voice is so familiar, I am going to say Jerry Lee Lewis, might be wrong but I know it, I may be back to edit the answer. Awesome news report.

Elvis has a great following in Ireland too, all of the big screen shows were easily sold out over the years they toured here and the crowds were on their feet singing and dancing the whole way through. Like I told in the video: "the members of the Television Academy were asked to vote on hundreds of programs and news moments that they believe have had the most impact on audiences over the past 75 years.". - That makes it a very debatable list as it is based on the personal tastes of the Emmy Awards members. The Aloha show was not watched by more people than the moon landing. It was only Broadcast to the pacific region of the world including Japan and parts of Australia. Other countries watched it days, weeks and or even months later but it did not have the impact that the Ed Sullivan shows did back in 1956. There were more viewers tuned into the Sullivan show in the USA than when Aloha was shown in April ‘73 four months after the show. That’s why the Aloha show is not in that listing.

@@theapavlou3030 - yes I know that. But Aloha was NOT broadcast to the rest of the world either. It was only broadcast at the time of the show to 6 countries. It was then seen by another 16 countries after the event but that was in some cases, a day later, a week later or in the case if the USA, three months later and in the case of the UK, 5 years later and then two songs were edited out. So the programme was definitely not broadcast to the rest of the world and big countries like China, Russia, Africa, India, South America never saw it at all.

I think that we as fans should be grateful for having him on our side. He has the contacts in the movie industry to make a 'new' concert film by combining the outtakes of TTWII and EOT. In the past 50 years nobody could release material from the vaults (...yes I know about the hours of illegal material that is available in a sub standard picture quality ...). Baz has the equipment and the funds to make a decent movie with high quality pictures. So I don't mind if he is making money with it, as I know that it will be top notch! Baz has Always been an Elvis fan! Do you not know how many years it took to get the financial backing and ok for the powers that be to get the movie approved to be made? Or the years of research he did? But it is a pity that he used Pricillas slant and untrue things were in there! But he had to do certain amount of kissing up to her, to get the publicity for the movie. That because she's fooled so many people and he needed her blessing to spread the word!

It is indeed 'tricky'. They will have a difficult job 'to get it right'. My only worry is that they cannot replicate the interaction that Elvis had with his audience. It will never replace the real Elvis, but I give them the benefit of the doubt. Personally speaking : IF they get it right I prefer seeing this instead of an ETA. The acetate was "not" an original as Sam Phillips did not make 33 1/3 acetates - First off - all the formats at WHBQ were 78rpm in 1954. Sam would not have brought an acetate to a radio station in format they wouldn't normally use, and secondly if it was real do you really think they would have played it on that cheap China record player tracking at over 8 grams?? This has already be discussed by many collectors as myself as this "so called" acetate as being a fake. Also the audio that was played off that record is in "fact" audio from the LP master of the 1959 "For LP Fans Only" with the RCA added reverb (The original is dry) The channel "Elvis Archival Preservation Society" has shown the original "That's All Right" acetate that is owned by Johns dad as a comparison. But I guess the Graceland acetate goes good with Baz and the rest of the fake story involving Elvis' legacy that has been accepted by them.

People have been totally misrepresenting what Baz Luhrmann has said. He's NOT doing a full release of That's The Way It Is or Elvis On Tour. He's NOT going to release all of the footage. That will NEVER happen as it's too expensive. But the way some fans and groups are talking, you'd think the full TTWII and On Tour footage is coming. IT'S NOT!! What he will be eventually working on is a four-hour extended version of his terrible film. Who CARES?! There are certain fan clubs on Facebook and Instagram who have been really irresponsible by saying the full TTWII and On Tour footage is coming. IT'S NOT! 😡
