I really don't care what anybody says, Elvis could have sang the alphabet and I would have loved it, so please don't argue people over what you think you know, this is about his music not things he did or didn't do, He is and always will be the king of rock n roll no matter what!!!

Not to forget the fact that Elvis performed a total of one hundred and fifty four concerts in 1974. Elvis was no saint, but he did everything to please his fans.

I can't stop laughing when I imagine an angry Elvis -- glaring at Col. Tom Parker and growing angrier as he sings. You can definitely hear the passive aggressiveness through his amazing voice.

It really speaks to Elvis’ talent and charm that even something this lazy and dull can still be somewhat engaging to listen to. This is as close as I’ve seen anyone “singing the phone book” and still making something work out of it. If it were anyone else this would have been a spectacular flop, but Elvis really knew how to make lemonade out of lemons. Still, I’m glad he had the ‘68 Comeback Special after this.

Polarized? Nobody is perfect! We all do good and bad. So yes one can love someone and at the same time you can't stand some of the things they say or do. What you love about someone others can't stand and at the same time the things you despise in someone someone else will love. We are both good and bad as I said: Again NOBODY is perfect (including Elvis Presley). ----> Happy Birthday Elvis.

Man, that Annette Day was a real cutie! Such a dazzling smile! And from what I've heard, a real sweetheart, too. She was IMO the prettiest of all the actresses (except for maybe Ann Margaret) that starred opposite Elvis. I would have gladly sang the whole Mother Goose songbook if it meant co-starring with Annette Day, (can you tell I've always had a wee bit of a crush on her? LOL). But seriously, was she in any other films? I only remember her being in this one.

The Colonel made sure Elvis never knew he was the one who held all the cards & kept him in the dark the whole time. He also played on Elvis's constant fear of going back to being poor again if he did not do as he was told. Colonel was a master manipulator, pure & simple.

@MVillani198511 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I don't think he would have done something like that either, but he did get upset finding out he had to do nursery rhymes with his exact quote being "What?! It's come to THIS?!". I think it was the straw that broke the camel's back in persuading him to get out of the movie business.
@glynncrom321511 жыл бұрын
not how elvis wanted to be remembered.he actually insisted this song never went on the soundtrack...but it did..as idiotic as it is that someone somewhere thought " i know.lets get elvis to sing old madonald........"look at the effort elvis put into this....its sounds good,his voice is pure and soulful,but what a waste of a decent actor who given the right scripts could have blown us away...elvis..36 years on...still rockin it....good man elvis

He wasn't forced to do anything. Stop making excuses for him.
@claudiapicariello58137 жыл бұрын
He wasn't forced? He had a contract (made by the colonel) for a number of movies he had to do. But after some of them, realising how bad they were, he didn't want to do them anymore. In fact, as soon as he got out movie contract, he immediately started again with live exhibition! These are not excuse, this is history!
@BadfingerBoogieBarb7 жыл бұрын
You are still making excuses. Parker negotiated the contract that Elvis signed of his own free will. Nobody forced Elvis to sign a multi film contract. Again, you can't blame Parker for Elvis' poor decisions. This is idiocy on your part! Elvis gladly signed. He liked being a movie star as well as all the money it made him. Elvis could have grabbed the bull by the horns at any time and taken control of the films he made. He couldn't be bothered. In the end, he did concert films to fulfill his obligation. His '60s and '70s live performances are nothing to brag about with the leather jump suits et al. Elvis stopped being great when he went into the army. There are the occasional good records he made later, but he was no longer relevant. Elvis was a great singer, but he was never an artist.
@claudiapicariello58137 жыл бұрын
BadfingerBoogieBarb personal opinion! in my opinion he was the greatest artist also in his last months. he's still the greatest. Elvis never stops being great. you may not agree with me, no problem, everyone has his own ideas, I respect yours.
