I used to work at Memphis Funeral Home, on Union Ave. and embalmed many bodies on the table that Elvis was embalmed on. Also, I worked with the two embalmers who did the work on E the night he came in, and the hair dresser who assisted Elvises own hairdresser to get him ready. They all had a story to tell of that day and time. It was a big deal. Just thought I would throw that in there.

What i was curious about is when larry gellar tells a story that he used a ladies mascara to use on elvis hair. Said he had white hair at the roots and he blacked it out with mascara. So I would wonder if elvis hair was white like his daddy.

@@crystlfaith921 Larry gellar elvis hairdresser said when he went to the funeral home to work on elvis he noticed his hair roots was white. Elvis dyed his hair since the 1950s so we dont know if he was completelyhad white hair. like his dad.

My name is Steve Campbell. I always watch every video you make about Elvis i feel you are the most honest and sincere man about these video's. And i just want to thank you for all you do to bring this to each of us in detail. Im in NE Georgia now but i lived in adamsville Tennessee 4 years. And tried to go to Memphis as much as possible. I remember the day Elvis died I lived in little five points Atlanta i was 10 yrs old my mother came up to us at the top of our yard and said Elvis Presley died today. I can literally go and put my feet in the exact spot i was standing when she told us he died. I was only 10 but i knew right then the world was fixing to start getting bad. And it seems it has every since that day. Anyway i just want to say many thanks from the Campbell family to you for these amazing videos. Thanks Steve Campbell

A real shame Elvis never toured the world in the mid 70s when some of the critics in the media were writing him off. He had the potential to lose weight and get fit, cut his hair shorter etc and toured the world. He would have made headlines and sold tickets and records by the millions because people outside of north America wanted to see him. His tour would have been bigger than Led Zep or Wings. His net record sales would be far ahead of the Beatles. In India alone he had a huge market and fan base including top actors and politicians, then there was Japan, Europe and a crazy following in the UK. He would have broken so many attendance records. This is just speculation now BUT it certainly would have happened if he toured the world.
@SpaGuy4 жыл бұрын
My question is when was he going to do these tours? He was selling out everywhere he went in America so there was no reason to go overseas.. They were bringing the people here.. I find it funny that the same people who think he should have gone to Europe to tour also say he was overworked by the Colonel..
@prp32314 жыл бұрын
@@SpaGuy I understand what you say, however , in the UK for example , people, Elvis fans or non Elvis fans , were crying out for Elvis to tour the UK. I am sure this would apply to Europe or Japan or the Philippines or India. That is the level of love and respect Elvis commanded in the world. It would have caused scenes of mass hysteria at airports and in concerts. Larry Gellar talks about how Elvis wanted to make a fresh start in the mid 70s by touring Europe, giving up prescription medications, losing weight etc.

The Piccadilly is where we would go on sundays for lunch and my parents would take us to the movie theatre, for a double feature of Walt Disney movies. Elvis would sometimes circle around through the parking lot, to go back to Graceland. The theater was a General Cinema called the Whitehaven Cinema
@msr11165 жыл бұрын
Priscilla wrote in her book that she modeled clothes but she was short, and from what I've gathered, no taller than 5'4". The clothes would have needed alterations otherwise hung off of her because, at the time, model's samples were sized at 4 or 6 and for a height of 5'8' or so. Some of her claims and versions of events make me skeptical about the book's truthfulness.
