Excelent interview 👏👏👏 Everytime I hear Steve talk about the Colonel I get upset, because he is right, he took advantage of Elvis, took away his freedom to be creative, and in the end this killed him, slowly 😐

Love listening to these stories! That must have been such a fantastic time in Elvis's life. He reinvented himself and proved to everyone he still had what it takes. Sad that him and Steve lost touch after, due to Tom Parker's intervention l believe.

And Joe Esposito did it to. He wouldn’t let the phone calls get through.

Thanks for doing this on Elvis the man is so interesting & Steve Binder who later managed Rick Springfield was very good at what he did. T.C.B. 🤟

If Binder really knew what he was doing he would have made sure there was a bass player on that stage and two electric guitars. One for Elvis and one for Scotty.

I adore the 68 special but I'm not sure about the title "reinventing Elvis"; it's rather "Elvis is back part 2", and I'm sure that Elvis would have given us a part 3 in 78, if only...

Parker had very good reason to keep Steve away from Elvis. I've typed it hundreds of times - Elvis' success was in spite of Parker NOT because of him. I'll never understand why Elvis didn't rid himself of Parker.
