NO, in fact, he looked remarkably good to me from where I was sitting, though closer-up photos of the same concert show that he looked far from his best, very tired-looking. He wasn't as fat as he got at times, and the show he did was one of his best of '77. It's on KZbin, under the title, "Once & For All" {audio}. I'm on that recording - heckling Sherill Nielson, the jerk who sang, "O Sole Mio" in Italian.

There will certainly never be another Elvis. Elvis was most definitely a star long before he reached his early success. He was a star because of his personality, his looks, his character, his kindness, and his decent boy-next-door attitude. There's is no doubt that Elvis did not need training to act. He was a very talented actor. He could play any part with incredible sincerity and complete believability. He could even play a completely naive young man like he did in Follow That Dream. He was very funny and it was completely believable. As always, he looked absolutely incredible. I truly believe that it was totally impossible to meet Elvis and not absolutely love him. He was that kind and he had that much charisma.

Aweeee Elvis and captain marvel ! Bless his adorable heart ! Awe !!! So sad someone can be so lovable and in need of love yet surrounded by the wrong people who don’t value their heart or know how to nurture them or just be able to lift them up ,out of love in their heart , when needed most. I think many of us can identify with how he felt , if anyone’s ever experienced the pain of the heart their whole lives. I surely have. Was abused , bullied , felt so alone and when I could make friends I over gave and gave just wanting to be enough and show them the love in my heart ... thinking maybe they needed it bc I knkw I surely knew what it felt like. Here I am 40 in 2 Months , still go thru a lot of pain in that way. Feel pretty isolated but I’ve learned to accept it and I’m ok now. For the most part. Just have had so many health problems and some needs a result and have bn very beside myself especially when I’ve given people my bottom dollar , support, encouragement, whatever they needed that I could give even if it wasn’t easy .. not everyone but I’m talking bout those I truly have felt had a good heart and were truly in need ... the only time growing up or sometimes still , that people haven’t treated me badly or our place is if it’s music , Singing or art .. bn very strong points for me , things I love very much and the only time I truly feel at my best and comfortable. Ya don’t have to be a famous celebrity to still have a gift and a love for what ya do ‘ wink wink ;)! But man. I think many people out there can just identify with those things. Doesn’t matter who ya are , if ya connect to something about someone , something ya see in them , there’s a little piece of you in there too ! Take care everyone. God bless ya

Agreed, the abuse I took when I was young though made me stronger. You need to learn to use it to your advantage and put yourself in a position that they cant hurt you anymore. Elvis didn’t do that, he was too soft hearted. He hid inside himself and later in his drugs. Such a shame.

Too young to be the late Elvis Presley fan. But, listen to his music mostly on Christmas, 🎄 Elvis legacy was so much alive, people imitating him everywhere and I wanted to know who he was. And began to keep up with his late daughter Lisa Marie and that's how I became a fan of the late Lisa Marie. What a good looking man the late Elvis Presley was. His daughter was in my opinion, looked just like him. That was indeed the true daughter of the late Elvis Presley. I learned a lot about the both of them. I just didn't know them personally. I know they loved each other dearly.

Every documentary ive watched all I've heard each & every one say even those who didnt know each other but Elvis, is how Elvis just had this vibe that sent off good energy & vibes drawing people in. So much they all could feel his presence & know when he was in the room behind them. He had the looks, 👀& voice & ❤ to do so. Soo many stories of he died he didnt. No matter what, Elvis was sent down as an Angel in my eyes to fulfill a purpose given. He was meant to survive long enough to do so. He had the talent to reach many all over the world as he did & leave them with good spirits & good thinking hearts. He fulfilled his purpose on Earth until he was tired of non stop performing, sick health wise & tired of being Elvis Presley, the 23 yrs he did so for everyone. Only stingy fans would want him to come back to perform again. I as a distant relative who was unfortunately born 12 yrs after his passing never got to meet such an angel. I wish he would of never passed just to be able to meet him as a person & not expect him to perform at all anymore If it meant happiness, good health & peace for him . I've been doing all my research on Google & here now that I'm 29. He performed soo hard so he could not only provide for his parents but whole family & strangers in need ,to even sick kids. He knew what it felt to be in need & wanted to share his wealth to all. From jewelry,$,cars & homes to messages from his voice & heart. Some say he was broke when he died & his ex saved Graceland but not complety the case. He had more $ the the 1 million missing. He owned it & was about to tour again to make more to pay the Bill's, & support more people in need. Plus still gets $ off all his products from music to gift store items. All she had to do was keep Graceland open, his memory alive & I'd think it be enough to cover the bills there along with the merchandise they sale all over .

I'm the only child who was born by a different father so I'm not a Presley myself by blood but later got interested to learn about E as I became an adult. Why didn't people show him this much Attention a Appreciation while he was alive he needed to hear a feel how special he was when he was here not after he's gone. ,,,,,because the Bible says the dead knows nothing ,,,,,,Elvis was one of a kind a person that felt disconnected w the people around him like a prince from another planet a that he was He was Something Else. Elvis was a man who was also a religious believing Gosple singer a always wondered just where he fitted into God's master plan.

+Essline Cleinwerck I believe Elvis was a man who was very kind a God loving man who was strange unique s special. There were alot of people who took advantage of him a was JELIOUS of him. Elvis was raised to be kind to your fellowman like the phropets in the Bible. Elvis also did things to impress people a his fans a was very different man off stage. He had a gosple side the people he hung around didn't like that was the real Elvis. it was no act.

One thing I remember thinking about his movies I didn’t like is they made cut his hair short. I didn’t like it all short. I liked it longer. Then the guys were wearing their hair longer., I liked his sideburns and longer hair. I liked my husbands hair a little longer. But my husband wanted a job that meant a promotion and more money. He made good money but he really wanted the promotion. He liked the bigger responsibility and he liked the job. It got him where he wanted to be. So off with the hair. It was ok with me. I liked the way he looked anyway he was. Elvis never wore a mustache. I like facial hair on a man. I think he would have looked good with it. Apparently he didn’t want it so he didn’t ever do it. Elvis was so handsome. Those big blue eyes helped too. I like blue eyed men.

A lot of questionable stories here. For instance, when he got his first guitar, little Elvis wanted a bicycle, not a .22 rifle. He was ten years old.

Elvis did not choreograph the dance sequence in Jailhouse Rock, Alex Romero was the choreographer. Alex came up with something for Elvis after watching him do dance moves that he knows. Gene Kelly was even there to watch the dance sequence.

Oh come on JOE, you good and we'll that The Colonel took advantage of Elvis. Why did you cover for him? The Colonel may have been good for Elvis so far as getting him started with his career, the movies and such, but he used Elvis and took more of his Earnings than he right too just to keep the colonels gambling debts paid. Well there were other issues that caused problems. All this crap could have been avoided if he been treated better. I will always believe the colonel held Elvis back from doing shows in countries he wanted to perform in and do movies that were more serious instead of always doing comedy. However as for me, I loved every movie he played in, he was awesome in all of them. I still look at them over and over again and listen to his music every day. Of course I can't watch all that in one day but quite often. I never go a day without listening to him sing. Love you Elvis always.😇

Some really stupid questions from his first TV phone interview. He handled these idiotic questions really well. In his first film. “Love me Tender” he showed great promise. In reality, he should have starred in more dramatic films where he would be surrounded by other talented actors. Sadly, after his time in the army, he drifted into frothy, formulaic films.

Elvis deserves to rest in peace and his daughter and grandchildren deserve to be respected in their private lives. Many have told everything and anything in books or in interviews for money. He left us, these fans, a considerable inheritance of moving and tender songs, in spite of a bursting charisma he had a frightening loneliness that nothing and nobody could fill and surely that nobody tried, neither these friends and neither these girlfriends, who saw in him more a wallet than a man who was going towards his own destruction. Elvis is now singing with the angels but he is forever in our hearts, let's leave him in peace.

Completely different account of how things happened from the book “Last Train from Memphis” For one Sam Phillips did not think much of Elvis at first and it took a while and sheer persistence on Elvis’s part to finally get a break. I don’t know which is true, but the book’s version made more sense.

It was a rifle he wanted but his sweet mom got him a guitar n that changed his life. I have been listening to E!vis since 1956n know almost all the words to his many songs I saw him in concert in Hawaii 1973 broadcast around the world to over 1billion people.Elvis had many health problems such as glaucoma, colon issues, hypertension, severe asthma, fluid retention due to many medications given for colon issues Autopsy showed enlarged heart on right side n clogged arteries. Elvis will always be remembered for centuries to come

Elvis was born with blonde hair. That photo you see at 5:11 does not show WHITE hair, but probably a reflection off his light hair from the photo lights.
