One thing about the Elvis rabbit hole is that it introduces people to other legends. Elvis at Johhny Bragg and the Prisonaries, In the Charlotte Observer 56 interview he talked about Arthur big boy Crudup and Shake Rag, BB King and Rufus Thomas from the WDIA Goodwill Revue as well as others, Ella Fitzgeraldfrom the Stage show, "Your friend forever" Jackie Wilson, and James Brown, Fats Domino and the InkSpots from the Louie Robinson Jet Magazine interview, John Lee Hooker dedicated his song Tupeloto him. Plenty of others, one of the reasons why the Elvis stole music never made sense to me.

@@thomaspgreen6302 100% correct. Ella Fitzgerald didn't write songs either, YET she and elvis presley are two of the greatest artists of the past century.

@@thomaspgreen6302 Ella Fitzgerald and Elvis Presley interpreted the words of other writers, into critically acclaimed masterpieces, time and time again. Which is why both of them are in a very elite class.

@@thomaspgreen6302 Interesting facts. The only people lying about and insulting elvis presley, ARE left-wing democrat voters. I've put some research into this. It's really quite revealing about how corrupt and mentally disturbed the left wing democrat party has become. If you do research, you'll quickly discover that today's left wing democrat party, IS lying about everything, including elvis presley. The fact is that elvis's sound at sun studio was LITERALLY the progressive fusion of white country with black rhythm and blues! Revelatory and innovative.

Jeri C. I think God gave Elvis his talent & made him so beautiful he got our attention. I enjoy looking at the reactions of new people seeing & listening to Elvis for the first time. I think it was J.D. Sumner, bass singer, daughter that made the comment Elvis came through the back door but got out front to minister to us through his Gospel music & other songs with that wonderful, inviting voice he had. There is no telling how many souls got saved because they felt God's spirit working through the vocals of His servant, Elvis Presley! Elvis entertained us until he gave us his all & God called him home...to be with his loving Mother once again!RIP Elvis..your echo will never die! 🙏❤️🙏

Think very carefully before you ever vote for democrats again. The left wing democrat party lies about anything and everything, including elvis presley. Elvis is no more guilty of that left wing bullshit "culture appropriation" than Ella Fitzgerald is. Both Ella Fitzgerald and Elvis Presley interpreted the words of others, into critically acclaimed masterpieces, time and time again. It's time we exposed these lying democrats, once and for all

Captain Tom, Keep up the good work.... I LOVE watching your reactions on ELVIS.... I am a U. S. Army Veteran. I spent 10 years in the Special Forces, I was SSGT when I left the service in 1977. I was truly blessed during that time. The reason for that was I saw ELVIS in Concert 4 times and also drove by Graceland in 1973. When I drove by he was at the gate signing autographs. I turned around and stopped to get an autograph. I walked up to the gate and he saluted me. I was in full green uniform. He reached thru the gate and shook my hand and talked to me for about 10 minutes. I had to leave afterwards so I could keep on my trip to Fort Bragg. I was totally shocked at what had happened. I will always treasure those few moments that happened that blessed day. God Bless You and Yours! Wayne

This spectacular, live, non enhanced version of Elvis, with only a few backup instruments, should demonstrate why these enhanced versions hurt his legacy. He didn’t need all of that. Future generations might lose his dynamic, raw talent listening to backup orchestra’s. JMHO

I guess I'm a little late to the party cuz it looks like this was 2 months ago but it popped up in my KZbin feed. So I'm not sure what other Elvis you've covered. But let me also say man I was just a need for but I've seen two of your reactions right now and I think I would've have been happy serving under you for sure. At any rate, very inner string reactions and I'm only 59 so I was just a little kid when he was popular and I saw him on television and heard him on the radio but we didn't have KZbin like we have today. He died when I was in probably fourth grade and I didn't really appreciate him that much. Although I really like some of his early rockabilly stuff as a little kid. Like Long Tall Sally and Jailhouse Rock and Hound Dog and all those early things that had so much energy that appealed to a first grader you know. But as I'm older and now KZbin can bring us a wealth of Life footage plus we have Wikipedia and documentaries to learn that he was actually an amazing individual and I played in bands my whole life as a musician. I've even played many of his songs live, I have a whole new found appreciation for some of the later stuff and I love watching it. It's amazing. So I am so glad you are reacting to this stuff.

Interesting to me that you should comment how unfair that one person would have charisma, presence, looks and the ability to sing. It would SEEM unfair. But I honestly believe with all my heart that while Elvis SEEMED so blessed, he was no more blessed than any of us. His blessings were different than ours but then again, our blessings are different from his. The real difference is, he recognized and ACCEPTED his. To you and your followers, don’t ask that you could be more like Elvis. Pray to be more like our savior Jesus Christ and accept the blessings He has granted you. If you pay attention, you’ll see them all around you. Be the best you you can be. That’s how you can be a blessing to others. Thanks as always Captain. Accept your blessings today.

2:24 - 2:32 TRIGGERED. I have a gripe, Captain Tom… In watching your reactions - you have a tendency to do something that bugs, triggers and reminds me of my ex-husband. 😠 An example of this is time stamped 2:31. You look away or close your eyes at the times I would consider - key moments. Knock it off! 😂 😊
