This video and "Come On Everybody", are great! ive seen Elvis get stuck with some pretty sad co-stars, who couldnt ever be worthy to stand next to him, but i gotta say that Ann sure pulls her weight in these videos and finally Elvis has met his match on the dance floor! Her looks and dancing has earned her the right to the title, "Elvis' Leading Lady". Not everyone can or should be beside Elvis when he gets to dancing and singing. He really is high above all!! Elvis you are the 1 and only definition of 100% pure, sweet perfection!! You truly are THE ONLY KING!! xxoo

Thanks is my favorite scene of all Elvis movies because Ann matches him in sex and charisma. And Elvis had ridiculous charisma. Ann Margaret was an amazing beauty and dedicated to her husband Roger Smith who had a debilitating illness. A beautiful woman with the empathy and care of a sister? A true queen! God bless this 1 in a million women. And .....While Elvis gives credit to R&B and blues for his influence, he is fing phenomenal. Period!

But he wanted Priscilla back always. He asked her back right before he passed away. I'm a big Elvis fan. But I don't think he would have stayed with just one. All others were just a fill in. His cousin said he knew about common law marriage and that's why he broke up with all the others before 5 yrs was up. He thought it was 5 yrs to be a common law marriage. Maybe with age he might have stayed with just one. Sad. We will never know.

I'll probably get flamed for this..... I am a huge Elvis fan. Have been for over 30 years since his music first hit me when I was in second grade..... but I just can't bear him "whitening" this song. It's horrible. It's supposed to a bit slower, in a lower key, and a groovier, more soulful beat, and chock full of sexual innuendo. Elvis just wiped it clean for the vanilla masses. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to hear Elvis do this song the way Ray wrote it and performed it. But I don't think there's a tape of that in existence.

I have never seen this movie all the way through but every time I preview scenes, Ann is so "over the top" (even in how she walks) its a big turn off. I get it. She had more talent in singing and dancing then most of his other costars but did she have to lay it on sooooo thick? It's kinda embarrassing on her part.. One of the reasons why I've never seen a Marilyn Monroe film either. A little discretion would have been a lot sexier on her end while allowing HIM to shine more in his own movie. Btw- his physical ideal was Deborah Paget and a virgin. Lol I don't understand where people get they were the perfect couple for each other but I guess that's why Lady Gaga and Brady Cooper looked like the perfect couple too on film (chemistry) and of course Ann's own secretive account of their affair (join the list)!

Having had a scout of the comment section, I'm going to make this measured. This is bloody awful. I am an Elvis fan; but, of his time at Sun Records. I'm with John Lennon on this one, Elvis should have stopped making god awful movies for money and fame and continued to make great rockabilly records. This is like a bad episode of The Monkees. As for the song, Sam Phillips and Elvis were a two-man cultural appropriation roadshow back in the 50's but this is a whole other level. Those old records had some soul and some feeling, this is the musical equivalent of plastic. White, white plastic.
@kreddyfrueger13047 жыл бұрын
John if you think Elvis never recorded any decent records after he left the army then both you and John Lennon are deluded

@joe60963 жыл бұрын
@@kreddyfrueger1304 Elvis' best music after the Army was Suspicious Minds, In The Ghetto, Kentucky Rain, and perhaps his cover of Unchained Melody or Way Down off his last album. In other words, Elvis basically sucked until he got professional song writers to give him some songs with depth and complex stories and meaning. Adult contemporary as it were. John Lennon was absolutely right. After Elvis returned from the Army, from 1960-1969, everything he did was rubbish. With the exception of the '68 Comeback Special which was a throwback to his roots, all his albums in the 60s were horrible B-Rate movie soundtracks with campy, goofy, nauseating songs no serious artist even listens to. I mean, when the Beatles were doing songs like Tomorrow Never Knows and Taxman, Elvis was singing Mary Had a Little Lamb to cute girls on hay ride. Quite frankly, Elvis needed to chill out and smoke joint and drop some acid. Too much milk and cookies for him.
