Nothing like 90s exhibition skating routines, & this is just textbook 90s exhibition skating! He was always one of my favorite skaters, I personally think he should've gotten gold in Lillehammer

He brought that fan fare and “tough” masculinity to the sport. There is room for Johnny Weirs, who are more refined, and the harsher Elvis Stojkos in skating. Both are necessary and engineer a world for creativity!

USA still loves you a bunch, Elvis. I could watch you skate all day.

I miss the rock&roll of Stoiko, and Weiss, and theatricality of Candeloro in these days’ skating.

I love seeing my all time favorite skater, a man that god has used to confirm words that people at church spoke over me, an athlete that has time and time again gotten me through some rough patches, a man that had taught me to be a warrior, and to believe

He wasn't gay nor did his ice routines promote it. For that reason he forwarded more male participation in figure skating.

Someone that I skate with, this lady Carol, as in roller skate (I skate in-lines though) said that I remind them of Elvis Stojko. I had absolutely no idea who he is. This guy ice skated, and at his very best, when I was still just a baby. Honestly, I feel like that is a very genuine and very respectful compliment from her. I don't move nearly as gracefully as he does, nor can I do spins in the air like this...however, I have my own share of style and balance that sort of reflects what Elvis here does. This guy is fucking awesome and talented though...and I most likely will never be able to outdo what he does! Definitely not on ice skates at least. But even on rollerblades, geesh...that's really a monument if anything remotely close to what he's capable of can be done.

Brilliant skater. I wonder if there is an estern European root to the last name. Sounds Bulgarian born without the ending "v"
