Personally, any recent post E-head material that Ely brings out whether it's a solo (Gabi Man, May Araw Din), collaboration (with Itchiworms) and even just a supportive role (360) remains significant. Nobody can deny the quality of craftmanship Ely brings to the table as a songwriter and a performer. When Ely mentioned nobody listens anymore, I need to remind him his post E-heads songs generate millions, if not hundreds of thousand listeners in Spotify alone. I support OPM in general, but anything with Ely, I spend hard earned money in concerts, CD's and records because I love music and anything Ely brings out does not disappoint. Thanks Paco for a great interview. Thanks Ely for your honest response regarding the E-heads controversy. Life goes on and long live OPM.

Ely is comfortable with Paco because he is a good interviewer. Paco gives you a sense of comfort making the conversation interesting and the atmosphere relaxing. The fact that most of his guests pause and say "GOOD QUESTION!" proves Paco is not just a good interviewer but a very good friend. I love how he manages to deal with sensitive topics and elicit candid answers from his guests.

im glad that my teenage years was in the 90s. i experience the best music, best movies and we are real people who socialize physically and emotionally with friends and family. eraserheads is still my fave pinoy band of all time and now my two daughters love their songs too.

Gets ko yung point ni Ely na no one listen to new materials right now. Tsaka yung reason nya behind it, agreeable naman talaga. Pero siguro in a "fan" point of view, yung as in fan na fan like me, pakikinggan pa rin e. Kasi bakit naman yung Sabado at 1995, pinapakinggan ko, sinipra ko pa sa gitara. Amaze na amaze pa nga ko sa MV nung 1995. Kumbaga, pag naglapag kayo ng pagkain sa lamesa namin, kakainin namin yan e. Kaya mga paps wag na kayo mahiya, gawa na kayo kahit isang kanta lang hahahaha!

Sa panahon ngaun ndi na dn kasi masyado mabenta ang rock music dahil rap na ang in demand sa generation ngaun. May pumatok man, pero sobrang generic at pang masa dapat ang letra. Like jopay, isipin nio lyrics wise walang special no hate to mayonaise but thats the type of music and lyrics ang kailangan para pumatol ang rock single. Eheads wise, alam natin lahat na never sila gagawa ng ganyang pyesa.

I agree ok lang din na di na sila gumawa ng bagong material marami pa silang songs na di natutogtog ng live yung mga songs from natin99 very underrated album and ntry na rin naman nila gumawa ng bago which is Sabado at 1995 and di naman lahat naging receptive sa material na yun .. para sakin maexpose muna mga new gen na fans ng heads sa mga iba pang songs nila.. Butterscotch, Combo on the run, Easy ka lang, Kananete etc. are great songs also

If you want to see the 19 year old version of your music idol, watch a video. Ikaw nga nagbago ka na, sila ba hindi pwede? Change is natural.
