There’s so much reward and sense of accomplishment when you save a piece from going into a landfill. I think sometimes when we have to put some in extra elbow grease, we’re wondering what we’ve gotten ourselves into, but when it’s all done, we know we did the right thing and it was all worth it (especially with a freebie). This lovely sideboard is now able to be admired and cherished for many years to come!

The sideboard is beautiful. I recently retired and now have the time to work on home decor projects. I am starting small with tiered trays, transforming mason jars, and farmhouse signage, using items salvaged from ReStore or thrift stores. Once the weather warms up, my brother-in- law is going to work with me in his wood shop, teaching me how to use his tools. I can't wait. In the meantime, I watch your videos for inspiration and work on my "indoor crafts:" sewing, crochet, patchwork, embroidering. I think that those of us who have maintained hobbies throughout our lifetime are very fortunate. Not a chance we will suffer from boredom during our retirement; always can find a project to work on. I am subscribed so I hope that keeps me eligible for your giveaways.

I would never have thought to leave the front legs wood. My favorite is farmhouse with a little mixture of farmhouse modern. Having said that, I still love what you are doing with the Boho even though it is not my style. But you still get all types of ideas and inspiration, thus no matter what you do or come up with it has always been a learning experience. So continue on my friend. I have a bedroom 5 piece bedroom setting that I inherited from my Grandmother. It's from the 1930's and it is solid wood overlaid with veneer, so they did indeed used to do that. You did a lovely job and thank you for saving suck a beautiful piece. It's just criminal that such a stunning piece that was created with real craftsmanship was left to just rot away.
