There is a myth in ancient Greece that tell us that the Olympians went to Egypt for Holidays! But that’s because for a long time at Egypt a Greek family ruled, the Ptolemaic Dynasty Cleopatra was from the Ptolemaic Dynasty! In a myth we read that after the Olympians won the Titans they banished them to the Tartarus for the eternity! Hermes became an heron Apollo became a falcon Artemis became a cat Ares became a fish Hephaestus became a boar Dionysus became a goat Zeus became a ram ... Etc etc etc... When Zeus saw that Athena left behind to fight we went back to Greece to fight with her! The rest of the Olympians stayed for a long time in Egypt but eventually they went back to help the others! Some believe that the Egyptian Gods are the Greek Gods or Egyptian inspired by the Greek Pantheon because of the similarities: Hermes became a Heron Heron-face was the Egyptian God Thoth who was the protector of writers and also was the deity protector of Hermopolis (Greek city in Egypt, Hermo-polis, Hermes + polis means city) Apollo became a Falcon Falcon-face was the Egyptian God Horus Like Apollo, Horus was the God of Light Artemis became a cat Cat-face was the Egyptian Goddess Bastet Like Artemis, Bastet was depicted as a Moonlight Goddess Dionysus became a goat Goat characteristics had the God Osiris Dionysus and Osiris had both relations with the under world.
