Wonderful page! For a moment the first two bars reminded me of the beginning of Massenet's Meditation from Thais (also for the key of D major). Thank you Julian for the ability to ennoble this beautiful forgotten music so well!

In those days, photography was treated quite differently than it is now with modern technical achievements. Visiting a photo salon used to be an extraordinary event. Therefore, such an outfit and posture! A really difficult piece, but a great performance.

Lovely piece. Lovely performance. The trills sound like bird singing, which is just beautiful. Side note: I'm kind of new here, but have you played or considered playing something by Woldemar Bargiel, Clara Wieck's half-brother? I once played his Albumblatt in B-flat Major and it was fun.

Ehm, i think I've played by him already but I'm not 100% sure. but I've definitely seen that name, should check out more. didn't know he's her half brother!

The trills would sound even better if played on the correct note, as notated. The tr-sign is placed under the note b', which is even set apart as a single voice by the placement of the stems. That means the composer intended the e'' above to be sustained and the trill sounding between b' and c-sharp''.

Notated ≠ Correct Just because I give you the privilege to see the/a a score , it doesn't necessarily mean that it's correct. Whenever there are 2 versions of something available, in at least 90% of cases those scores of the same piece differ in tiny details. That doesn't mean that you are wrong, it should be something that people have to be sensitive about.

How about playing: Alexander Glazunov: Nocturne, Op.37?

A lovely piece. Thank you. I'm wondering....are the trills for the stems-down notes as the trill indication is below them? Could be an alternative version!

This is such a wonderful piece. Thank you for playing it in such delicate manner. May I ask if this was the VSL Fazioli F308? If yes, is there any way to share your settings? It just sounded wonderfully.
