My Daddy used to play this when he was in the UPC church, when I was a little girl. He battled cancer for a few years and about a month before his fast passing last year, I played it outloud during a visit (along with "I'm Going Away" by Hawkins).. and he broke down crying in his home hospital bed (he struggled from Alcoholism which led to body cancer). I went on bended knee and held his hand as he told me that's how he was feeling. This song will forever make me smile and cry at the same time. I love you, Daddy. 5/19/2022

This song was mainly sung at funerals. I know at least at black congregation churches. People would be just crying when the choir would sing this song as the casket is leaving the church.
