Ima market was a name given by personnel of the central police forces sent to control the law and order situation. Originally it was known as Sana Keithel (Royal Market) or later Khwairamband Keithel (Khwairamband is the name of the place) or Nupi Keithel (Ladies Market) and there is a small Nupa Market (Gents Market) nearby. It was earlier located near the present GM Hall but after the British occupation it was shifted to the present location.

1:33 Sister that is not nutrela (soya chunks). Locally it is called BORI. It is a sun-dried nuggets of ground urad dal, other lentils and some masala. It is added to curry just like we add dried fish/meat when cooking. When you eat Maroi thongba (chinese chives dish) in Luxmi Kitchen you will find this.
